FILM SYNOPSIS♡
In 18th-century Maine, Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) presides over the town of Collinsport. A rich and powerful playboy, Barnabas seals his own doom when he breaks the heart of a witch named Angelique (Eva Green). Angelique turns Barnabas into a vampire and buries him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas escapes from his tomb and finds 1972 Collinsport a very different place. His once-grand estate has fallen into ruin, and the dysfunctional remnants of his family have fared little better.

Only Tim Burton could take a slow dreary TV show about the torturous existence of a tragic vampire and make it comedic and incredibly horny.

Vomit was a reference to rosemary’s baby, the sheet ghost I think was a Beetlejuice reference, the road scene after he first wakes up is a Hocus pocus one and there are so many more throughout
i love this movie! my only complaint with it is how little importance is given to HBC’s character when in the original tv show, her character was Barnabas’ only true friend. however i would’ve loved a sequel to this movie with vamp Julia Hoffman coming back

LMAO I just saw this one 2 days ago, thought I'd dislike it but ended up enjoying it. It's actually kinda funny? BUT what did the makeup team do to Johnny Depp I just wanna talk.
Eva Green is in a gothic series called Penny Dreadful! She is amazing in that as well and the show is very moody and has a lot of classic lit characters such as Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, Dracula, werewolves, and witches. 3 seasons, about 8-10 eps each I believe. Eva is also in Miss Pereguines School for Peculiar Children. I don’t think the movie is particularly good, certainly watchable but she is once again fabulous!

Yeah, the new love interest was kinda boring, she just disappears for half the movie then it was like oh yeah by the end. Eva green always great in anything. My fav joke was johnny exclaiming Mephistopheles! At the sight of a McDonald's sign, I always say that now when I pass a mcds lol

The vomit was a nod to Exorcist. Angelique is a witch. She cursed the whole Collins family because they wouldn't approve of her being with Barnabas(Johnny) She made Chloe a werewolf, and cursed the house. Eva Green also plays Miss Perrigrine in the Movie Miss Perrigrines School for Peculiar Children and was good in that and also in Penny Dreadful.
This movie was a remake of the 60s/70s soap opera "Dark Shadow"… so, nope, it doesn't have anything to do with Twilight. Loved your reaction. 🙂
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children would be something I think you would enjoy especially if you liked Eva Greens acting🤗
