Three Iranian generals including the commander of IRGC forces in Syria and the commander of forces in Palestine have been killed in an Israeli airstrike on a consulate building in the Syrian city of Damascus. Brig. Gen. Mohammed Zahed, Iran’s top commander in the country, Gen. Hossein Aminullah, his deputy, and Maj. Gen. Haj Rahimi, the leader of Iranian forces in Palestine, were all reported killed in the attack. In total, seven people were killed when a bomb hit the building around 5pm local time on Monday and reduced it to rubble. Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi has vowed to respond after the bombing, sparking fears of a wider Middle East war between Israel and Iranian
