Armenia says it is making provisions for tens of thousands of people who may flee Nagorno-Karabakh after the latest round of fighting.

More than a thousand ethnic Armenians have already crossed into the country from the enclave in Azerbaijan.

Al Jazeera’s Osama Bin Javaid reports from Beylagan, in the Karabakh region.

  1. An Armenian youth arrived here in America in 1999 to work at my store. I was the general manager. I stayed late into the night on many occasions to listen to his broken English, as he spoke of the horrors back home. He was deeply traumatized and had lost most of his family, not knowing if they were dead or missing. He was the most dependable and hard working employee I’ve ever known. I have continued to pray for his people and homeland for the last 25 years. Sometimes justice comes slowly but I still believe it’s coming! 🙏🏻

  2. Karabakh is Azerbaijan! Azerbaijan controls its lands, prevents the illegal steps of Armenians and creates all kinds of conditions for citizens of Armenian descent. We are not the ones who forcefully keep those who want to leave.

  3. Instead of thanking Azerbaijan, they curse. How Armenians expelled Azerbaijanis from their homes, but we do not expel them, they leave of their own free will. The one who is walking is not told to stop.

  4. Azerbaijan is a supporter of peace. In return for what the Armenians did to the Azerbaijanis, we still treat them very patiently and humanistically. Armenians are not driven out by anyone, they go of their own free will, and those who leave cannot be told to stop.
