Those Wolf Spiders better watch out! – Grounded 4 Player

If this were an Aussie backyard, the spiders would be bigger…
With the release of the complete story for Grounded, Capac and I are back and this time we’ve got a full crew! With Pav and TFE joining us, it’s 4 Aussies vs the spiders.

  1. I find it funny that you guys are just skipping all the early game story progression. Exploration is fun don't get me wrong. Play at whatever pace you want, but you'll probably have a more enjoyable time if you progress and unlock the lab chips. You've only done one of the four. Try talking to burg.l to get some direction.

  2. So I had never noticed that door, then went to check it out since I had gotten the card and it turns it that it contains the ZIP-R that was recently introduced. Now I want ziplines but I don't have the science.

  3. Capac: "they're not infected, they just bin gnats" oh what are they now?

to explain the computer's floppy drive explosion…. it must have been a hot release title….

if you ever get defeated by a swarm of Gnats, that would be a Gnatastrophe

  4. the overall Base needs expanded to accommodate equipment and general storage bins and a place to keep pallets.
the gang needs to collect building materials and get them staged so Splitsie can build upward into the tree.

#justonemorepiston = for when Splitsie can't make the jump

important note = Friendly Fire, Isn't!

  5. Was going to do this last week's comments but got distracted all week. So a to-do list, (stuff you've found so far), for you and some useful tips, (not gonna spoil anything if i can avid it though going to have to skirt aroudn a couple of things):

    To-Do:

    1. Investigate that dome underwater in the pond.
1a. to do that you need to farm underwater equipment mats for Pav and TFE.
    2. Investigate for the super chip in the poison area.
2a. Plug up the source of the poison to make exploring that area easier.
2b. Get a Black Ant Shovel so you can get gum so you can do that.
    3. investigate the rest of the sandbox and the black ant nest.
3a. Escape the Sandbox and farm black ants to make their armour so you cna explore he nest safely.
    4. find a way through both locked doors you found, one seemed to lead to a super chip.
    5. Explore behind the BBQ.
    6. Look for how to make T3 axes and Hammers so you can harvest the T3 resources you've found.
6a. You found rust at the garbage pile, (on the underside of the can), at the shovel near the poison.
6b. You found wood splinters at the picnic table.
    7. You never checked between the sandpit and the fence because of Orb Weavers down there, might be worth looking into now you can fight them effectively.
    8. There are at least 5 creature types you haven't found yet, probably more.
    9. You found a few underwater barriers that need the T2 dagger to access. I'd have to re-watch to remember where they all where.
    10. You have that broken underwater pipe next to the Sandpit to explore.
    11. You discussed that there's an explodable wall inside the tree and there's also the area under the lab inside the tree to explore.

    Hints & Tips:
    1. Without getting too spoilery there are both good and bad consequences to plugging up the poison leak. It makes some things easier and some things a lot harder. Your current base in particular probably isn't safe if you plug it.
    2. Trowel Gulch is that hole with the first explodable wall you found that leads into that cave that had a bunch more explodable walls. Your doing so bad at finding it i figured you need the help.
    3. Given you tend to switch from the crossbow to the needle whenever somthing gets near and then stick to the needle i'd strongly recommend swapping your be armour for something that helps in melee, your not really getting a lot of benefit out of your bee armour.
    4. there are 5 types of damage in the game for players to deal, (not counting explosion). Busting is unique to the hammers, (yes the harvesting ones). Chopping is the harvesting axes and the spicy battle-axe. Generic is all clubs, mace's, and morning stars. Slashing is all swords and daggers. Stabbing is al arrows, rapiers, needles, and spears.
4a. As a result i would actually recommend everyone gets an upgraded pair of harvesting tools as it gives them good sources of 2 damage types that enemies are somtimes weak to, (or at lest not resistant to).
    5. Spiders path randomly until you enter their territory. At that point they move directly to where you entered it then follow your path, where you stopped, they'll stop for the same amount of time. Thats why they keep showing up at the foot of your base, they're pathing to where you went up into your base and stopping there because they can't go any further along your path.

I'm sure i had more thoughts but thats it for now.
