  1. What is worse? ' Finishing endgame, and having nothing else to do'… or ' Endgame grind is extended and slower'. I think you may have missed the point that a lot of people stopped playing because they already beat the game.

  2. Stop trying to blame people for the the shitshow this game is. People wanted it released sooner and it's bad because of that? Bullshit, if the publisher wanted to hold it to make improvements they could have dont it, without any kind of effort, people have 0 impact to make a release date move up. There's no innocent or guilty players in this game, you can't ban people based on what you THINK their mindset is when using the bugs in the game. Either ban everyone who used it, or none at all, no two ways about it, you can't tell on the back end what the hell went through people's minds when doing the exploit. Plus on the other hand, it's in the game, it's an avaliable thing to do, developer too incompetent to handle / fix it? Well that's just too f-ing sad, don't release shit without testing it first.

  3. As for you defeding people who say they got "banned falsely", I call BS on that, everyone who gets banned in any game for any reason always cries "false Ban"… Everyone knew there was massive duping going on and should have stopped all purchasing and trading during that time to be safe and if they didn't very HIGH odds, they knew they were taking advantage of duping either directly or indirectly. So NO DO NOT feel sorry for these people. fk em…

  4. They made it much harder to do anything at max level. You basically can't progress through a lot of 'solo' quests without help, and no one wants to come help you because there's nothing in it for them other than a bloated azoth cost for travel. I have no idea why they've made fast travel cost a resource. Make it free. Why are expeditions locked behind stupid farming for tuning orbs? Let people run content as much as they want. Stop being dumb. Constantly making it hard for people to do what they want is a really good way for them to just find something else to do. I really hate the tuning orbs. So idiotic. Now there are just people selling orbs and charging for runs. It's a shitty system that's created a shitty little economy.

  5. AGS has some really big QA issues, I love the game but its hilarious that they continue to make really basic mistakes. Void Gauntlet is really fun to play though, enjoying using it instead of my sword and shield.

  6. I have been playing casually. The most annoying thing for me is the ever-present lag. Not sure whether that is the game's 'spaghetti code' or my internet connection. My highest toon is maybe only level 22. (You changed the theme music.)

  7. I bet when they asked everyone what do we put in the patch notes, some bloody bloke called Kevin was in the bog having a crap and they missed out fixed elite chests in the patch notes.

It really wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case….

  8. It'd feel shitty to start late. Really I think they could make the current servers legacy and merge some of them up. When the game gets cleaned up, it'd be nice to have fresh start servers, maybe even with an exp boost.

  9. Holding off releasing a game until its ready is one thing, but if the game developers are not able to add new content after a proper release that is bug free then it doesn't matter how long they tweak a game before releasing it. Alot of the recent bugs in New World were a result of NEW patches, not OLD beta content that was never fixed. AGS needs to work on their core competency if they wish to have a long-term game.

  10. Luckily I haven't been affected by much of the shenanigans that have gone on since launch. I play with a small group of players. We just hit 60 a few weeks ago and have been slowly grinding gear score and trade skills in our bubble.

  11. Game needed 2 years, not 1 year. Probably 4 at the rate these developers work.

For me, the foundational work of the game was well done and would have provided a good new MMO time sink. I would have kept playing the game regardless of achieving BiS because I found the combat and gameplay loop enjoyable.

The developers are so frustratingly inexperienced that it outweighs that. Which is honestly saying a lot because I'm not one of these super judgemental overly critical gamers that can't be satisfied.

Nobody wants to play a game that is supposed to be something you play daily, or at the very least weekly for years when the developers just flat out break the game over and over again. There is something really bizzare going on at AGS, something is wrong at a foundational level in that studio and only they will know what that is.

If they ever release fresh I'll probably check it out, this iteration – current servers – are not worth my time.

  12. My friend was permabanned for … Something, and we don't know why. He tried to appeal to at least find out what the reason was but amazon stone walled him. I've uninstalled in solidarity. He wasn't cheating or doing anything intentionally malicious. He's an older guy and doesn't care about the race for power. I hate this company for ruining this game.

  13. I'm disgusted by NW white knights, I'm completely disappointed in the AGS dev team with the sole exception of graphic and sound designers, you guys did an excellent job, the rest of you enabled at best, or caused at worst, the game to become this bad, do not listen to player feedback instead of relying on corrupted statistics and lie to us.

a lot of reasonable people who aren't Andies say "the devs aren't at fault, it was management etc. etc." but that's not true, it simply isn't, even IF the management made specific design choices and decisions (*1), the devs are the people that have to either stand against those choices, or go around them. If you worked at car manufacturer and knew that the car you've been tasked to design, with specific stuff in place, won't work and will be unsafe to drive, you would quit your job, while NW won't kill anyone, the moral dilema is still there

*1 just as an example, try to convince me that management person came to dev cubicle and told lead designer "I want the storage separate in each town, the storage limit will be 1000kg with both limited upgrades that take forever to get bringing the storage up by 25 each and housing items giving 200-525 (with the limit of 4, also make it super expensive), also do not dare to increase the storage in any other way" I dare you to argue that completely botched system was enforced on the devs by management
