Late to party!! These comments are epic!! Lovers, Haters, and Impulse Buyers!! You obviously are making a difference in our microscopic and myopic community!! 😂I want you to test the “other region brushes”!!!!😮
At the pause after "Oh, the hair on my head…", I expected the joke to go in a waaay different direction 😅
Just like a paintbrush, if you want more control out of those pencils, you need to give them a sharp point.
nah, this aint it chief
But I like your dumb voice. You think I watch Tup for Scott? Psh!
I dip the pencil in water then use a small brush to rub the colour before using it on the model for detail chips etc. If I’m doing streaks at a mech leg joint i will use the wet pencil direct onto the model then damp brush to get desired results.
I’ve heard of these. I’m glad you tested them for me
Brilliant thanks for sharing this is a game changer
Id be interested to see you use these pencils more. Thanks for the video
It feels like everyone is bending over backwards to make this work. I’ve tried them and they suck on small models.
These were made for vehicles so you have space and can really press down. Just stick with paints on these models. This is almost never faster.
Not sure how you doing exactly what you said is clickbait. Awesome job as usual by the way.
I threw a like 40 seconds in, right after Darryl's business plan… Get that man his own channel! <3
IDK….Darrel might think the "chipping pencil" is for making a more festive looking Dorrito. Might still want to supervise him while he uses them.
Any other GoodTimesWithScar viewers think we went into Super Fast Build mode at 1:30?
Hello, new to your channel, just wondering if you have/could do a video with some tips on freehand work. Thanks
Dude, those pencils are for weathering, WEATHERING. It's in the name. They are not for highlighting, use actual watercolor pencils for that, dip them in water then watch how smooth they are.
Flamer not Melta
Whats the song around 11:30 ? Thats such a nice upbeat piece of music
wasd
visibly gagged when Daryl licked his hair
terrified for the darryl drybrush release
What to play with next when a bug crawls up your butt again: Sharpies.
I already have the full set as I build planes and vehicles and have used them on my space marines, so its good to see others in the mini hobby use them , just like using Tamiya clear paints,
That Terrain got backed instantly. This is going to make setting up a decent table on the fly so much easier.
DANG MAN!! Can’t wait to get my hands on one of them signature Darrell brush!! And a can of Fabreeze!!! Haha!! I don’t think the pencils are for me. Thank you sir!!
Mate. Credit the songs used. It's "Howling" and "Fugent" by Lupus Nocte
You should look into chalk and pastels. Also love the music!
I've been using water colour pencils for ages now. I just assumed people used them.
At what tier does one get their own Daryl brush?
What’s the shelf you put the mini into at the end called?
And great vid 👌
Always sad to see you push AK products.
Could not pay attention to any advice in this video because I’m too jealous that I didn’t know they had that wet palette in purple and I got green.
Hey random content idea, take users who want help improving their army scheme.
Start with their picture, recreate it with their instructions, then add your zest to it to improve it.
Honestly, I don't really see why anyone would use this product. Most of the time you have to correct / retouch with a brush after applying the pencils. So, I might as well just use the brush and (seemingly) save a lot of time and frustration.
It s the kind of stuff that require absolutely a vernish coat to become permanent, isn't it ?
Next time you use them, try putting a couple drops of dish soap in the water dish you dip the tips in. The soap reduces the surface tension of the pencil and makes them apply more easily.
The cardboard terrain is waaaaaay over priced… 10x cheaper than normal terrain? I can buy 5 boarding action terrain sets for 2000$ that’s a full board as well.
So it’s half the price of GAMES WORKSHOP terrain… which is some of the most expensive terrain on the market.. in addition it’s made of cardboard and not plastic… so being half the price of gw whilst being cardboard is not something to brag about.
Or is the 10x cheaper compared to some solid gold set from another manufacturer?
We used regular color pencils on our models ~30 years ago for streaking and weathering. Glad its making the jump to 40k i guess
Yeah that's all greats points and all but how much for one of them there Daryl brushes??
30 secs in and I'm already laughing. Ty!
So how about dampening the pencil before applying highlights? Seems like the need for blowing would be much lower.
Did you consider sharpening the pencil lol.
Would have made a big reveal to the use.
I’ve been using water colour pencils for years. But still an entertaining vid
I’ve said this to Uncle Atom and I’ll say it to you. I’d like to see a video of returning to old painted models and how to bring them up to date.
We the masses have tons of painted models and we’d like to fix them.
Big fan semi poster.
Poster of comments…
Not I’m a poster or 2d being.
Hope I’m not an AI algorithm.
Kinda sure I am not
water and oil will mix with a binding agent or under extreme pressure like a vacuum, also, space marine armour is ceramic, it doesn't rust.
Brilliant!!! Really great video – Thanks
