  1. Bakhmut is like Verdun 2.0 … the only question is who bleeds more. Both armies try to bleed each other out in a battle of attrition…if one side suffers less casualties by killing more enemies, that side wins. I bet on Ukraine, they defend themselves, the terrain favors them and they have better supplies.

  2. great video. let me note. there is a water channel running from lyman area all the way south passing bakhmut. if one wants to set a long term fortification on a future border this would be the tank barrier of desire. quite a few desicisions on russian side seem to be around infrastructural goals.

  3. I listen carefully this video and digested and viewed other channels l had come to conclusion that some of the information is deliberately diluted in order to give hope the the side which suffered most ! Talk reality is Bakhmut gonna fall or not ! Will fall for what reasons and vice versa

  4. Well if you look at Bakhmut with a height map, there are very few hills behind it so it will make the Russians able to do larger offensives in the future if they capture it. Not only that Bakhmut has a lot of roads which would make it great for a logistic and command area.

The Donetsk area has allways been a fortress even in ww2 you will see frontlines move around it since the terrain gives the deffender huge amount of vantage points which is why Russia wants to push the Ukrainians out since it is going to be very hard to recapture that ground.

  5. @Willy – stumbled on your video and just subscribed. Will be my go-to for sober information. With that said, someone said that morale is the third pillar of victory in a conflict. So, disinformation holds an important place. Otherwise, as you say, it wouldn't be a tool in all wars. NOBODY is talking about the rail hub issue! It's so important! Thank you so, so much for your reporting!!!! πŸ’›πŸ’™

  6. The 3 main things Russia wanted before they started their big invasion is a Neutral Ukraine ,Donbass(lpr/dpr) and the west would reconize Crimea , If they get bakhmut its a big win for Russia to secure more of Donbass a part of their so called SMO

  7. Prigozhin has convinced Putin that he can defeat the Ukrainians. If the Wagner Group takes Bakhmut, it will be a psychological and strategic victory for Russia and Prigozhin in particular. If Ukraine can hold, while degrading the Wagner Group with artillery, Prigozhin will lose influence with Putin, and Putin will have to eat another failure. Bakhmut is important.
