Retired Firefighter/EMT and I've fought many wildfires in Arizona. We get a lot here during the summer and although we have used fixed wing aircraft, we also have 2 dedicated CH57 Chinook helicopters and they work very well in the mountains along the Mogollon Rim, White Mountains and in the Flagstaff area.

The retardant used is a co copolymer known formally as Frackwell used to stabilise fracking well walls because it is a powerfull emmulsicant.
It destroys aquatic animals soft tissues , eyes and mucous membranes .
Literally turns them to mush.
Mixed with the dumped Frackwell a 10% solution of urea is added to cause explosive regrowth next year and additional contracts .

What they are NOT telling you: The chemical is called Phos-Check and if it gets into the water supply there will be serious trouble

We can drill massive oil wells deep into the sea, but we can't drill massive water wells for major fires?
