That was my first thought he’s armor was way too heavy but I was surprised how deep that cavern was he fell down pretty far and not to mention the giant mythosaur lurking in there ugh no thanks dark waters with giants creatures are my nightmares 😱😱😱😱 kinda ironic the very thing that is to protect him would cause him his death.
Lmao I literally thought the same thing like why do people keep saying he got pulled in the testicles aren't even that long 😭 there beskar armor is just heavy AF that's why din kept sinking and bo katan was just a few feet behind him out of grasp . Then they saw it they had no beef so he let them pass
No wonder every apostate before Mando did not return from those caves…
The Armorer should have mention that.
For real though, Din took a lot of L's in this chapter. He got ambushed TWICE, then he got some of his blood sucked, then this.
I just think that his mind is just too preoccupied with redeeming himself in the waters that he just lets his guard down.
After this, I expect him to kick ass again, though.
Correction: A hilariously retarded way to introduce a conveniently living mythosaur.
It was terrible
I'm sorry but if his armor was that heavy (which IIRC beskar isn't, among its advantages is that it's lighter than durasteel) he would have trouble moving and walking on the surface too. He was most likely pulled, by mythosaur or smth else.
I disagree. Bo Katan jumped in almost immediately with a jet pack propelling her down. Even with her Jetpack Mando made it a long way to the floor way ahead of her. Something else would of needed to drag him down to beat her
QED (I rest my case matee).
muahahaahahhaa
It's so funny to me that everyones first thought was "he got dragged in!"
I was sitting there like "What if there is a hole and he just drops lol" and then it kinda did happen. but the mythosaur was a big surprise! Loved the episode for this one alot haha
But how comes he falls so fast while she can't even reach him with the jetpack propulsing her? If it was a normal lake, i would call for a bad script, but there's more to that scene. It's symbolic. The way he's trying to prove himself drags him down.
Goofy ahhh mandalorian
Maybe the Mythosaur had something to do with it.
I believe the steps had crumbled away, so it was unexpected for them to just end in a precipice.
This scene was funny for me because I didn't get how fast he sinks to the bottom and she is racing down with propulsion so she should have reached him after few seconds before he hit the bottom. Also…. Water pressure….
Gotta love how she goes from "go away , stupid Din!" to "Rescue him at all cost!" mode in a second. True tsundere…
If you are going into the water, look at your step. It was obvious, he just stepped into the abyss and went down. Also, there is no way his armor is that heavy.
Undermine the male characters classic Disney Star Wars
This episode showed how foolish the mandalorians are. Reminds me of boba fetts quick demise in the trilogy.
That’s not why. Those waters are not just basic water. They have been foreshadowing this with Bo Katans lack of belief. Mando is supposed to redeem himself in the water but there is something that is not redeemable about his belief system. So he fell to the bottom. It was more about Bo saving him. We may see he Begins to change his belief system from the cult like beliefs he currently has.
Ok, i really gonna try not to be rude ( also, English is not my first language, so…) but, I’m having a hard time trying to understand how can someone miss this when first watching it, unless your focus was not fully on the scene.?
I couldn't help but notice the ZERO hesitation Bo had to go rescue him, again, having no idea what she might face. Immediately went in for him despite not knowing the level of danger she was facing
There is something about this episode that just doesn't feel right.
I guess the point of it was to establish Bo Katan more, and display her abilities, but they way they did it makes Din look like an inept dope.
He needs her to:
1. Save him from the cyborg harvester
2. lead him to the living waters
3. pull him out of the pool when he falls.
The whole episode seems intent on showing how much better Bo Katan is compared to Din.
It starts with him going to the planet and exploring things, fighting those monsters etc. But then later shows her going through all the same things with less effort.
For instance, it shows him struggling to use the Dark sabre, while she has no issues with it whatsoever.
There is also the totally out of place "did you think your dad was the only Mandolorian?" line. Grogu has literally met DOZENS of Mandalorians at this point. Of course he doesn't think that.
Because of this, I get the strange feeling (and I hope that I'm wrong) that the plan is to replace Din with Bo Katan, and this episode is supposed to establish her as "better" than Din.
That might work. She's a good character with lot's of potential background, and Katie Sackhoff is a competent actress. I have no issue with Bo Katan being a badass (she totally is, and should be), I just don't like that they undermined Din to make her look good.
Sigh Yeah, that is perhaps the most Chilean thing he has done so far. You tells a mystical tale and we will buy it. And in the last second we will be like "Wait a second, isn't gravity still a thing?"
Yeah I thought he was a little too zealous going in there not really knowing what he was getting into. I sort of expected Bo-Katan to give him a heads up on how to do this since she lived there and knew everything about this city. Never could figure out how he got "pulled" inot the water…so yeah this was hilarious! 🙂
I'm still very confused because Bo jumped in just a few seconds later, covered in beskar armor as well (right?) and propelled herself to the bottom with the help of a jetpack, but didn't catch up to Din until the bottom… which, she should have fallen just as fast, right? but faster because of the jetpack… So I thought for sure, by the sheer speed at which Din got to the bottom, he had to have been dragged down…
I think it's metaphorical, how his tradition and faith outweigh his common sense, how he blindly wades into uncharted waters without checking the waters first. How he actually may not be worthy in the same way that he is not worthy to wield the Saber. But that doesn't mean it's any less stupid with just literal context lol
Din needed to have a rebirth and that’s what this was. He‘s really
regressed in his journey (wanting the droid to do the work/putting his helmet back on/etc) and Bo-Katan helps him get his rebirth. Think Cupid and Psyche. There’s a reason it’s her who saves him. She has a rebirth too. One by choice (she dove in on her own accord) and that’s important as well. Lots of really cool mythological importance in this episode and I hope they keep it up.
Wow wtf 🤣
Well. Bo katan:s diving diagonally. He didmt fall down. Something pullrd him in
