Yona was the young princess of the Kouka Kingdom. She lived a pampered, peaceful life. One without strife or struggle.
Until the night of her 16th birthday, where the man she’s been in love with since they were kids takes everything from her.
He murders her father in cold blood, and takes the crown for himself without any repercussions.. While also trying to end her existence. It’s brutal.
But, in the nick of time, the princess is saved by her loyal bodyguard. And now the two of them are on the run, hiding their identities and fighting pursuers.
They eventually seek and find allies they can rely on. And meeting people outside of the castle she lived in, Yona finds the pain the people suffered from her “kind father’s” rule.
All while she struggles with the fact she’s still in love with her fathers murderer. Who may have good reasons for what he’s done, that would be for the betterment of their nation.

  23. Ahhhh, legit my favorite manga!!! I’m depressed at least once a week when I remember we only have 1 season plus a few OVAs. Here’s to hoping they consider season 2 now that the manga is getting close to finishing!! Great video as always, more people need to know about best girl Yona ❤

  29. Great story 👏 The main heroine, her appearance and personality reminds me of ShiraYuki ("Snow White With Red Hair"). A very strong, determined, kind and compassionate person. And her bond with Hak and others is just too cute 😍
