The Last Worker is one of weirdest new VR games of 2023 so far but it’s also one of the most endearing and enjoyable if you’re willing to take a chance on something a little different! It’s part Black Mirror VR experience with a dash of Portal style humour and robotic antics mixed together with heaps of satirical dark comedy to create a new VR game experience that feels a little TOO close to the real world we’re living in right now. The Last Worker drops players into the shoes of the last human employee at a company almost entirely run by robots, the comparisons to Amazon are impossible to ignore, and you’re tasked with working your shifts which consist of selecting and examining packages before sending them out to customers. However something else is brewing in behind the scenes and soon you’ll be recruited to spearhead a full blown uprising to take down this evil corporation from the inside. The Last Worker VR is primarily a story driven VR experience with light puzzle mechanics and plenty of weird, wonderful humour, and excellent voice acting, to keep players engaged throughout.

This game looks hilarious
I like that it's developed for seated play. I have issues standing after a hip replacement so standing for long periods isn't preferred. Luckily most games have the option but we definitely need more games specifically tailored for seated play.
I've seen a few reviews and there's some technical issues they've had that stopped progress but once there's a patch I'll definitely pick it up. From this video it looks right up my alley as someone who favors narrative games. Good video as always.

It's confusing how the tutorial instructions tell you to grab the virtual controls of your vehicle (you know, like a VR game) but then you actually operate the vehicle using the thumb sticks and face buttons of your controller.

I'm in agreement with the "made for seated" thing, standing active VR can be super immersive, especially in FBT but sometimes you just want to sit and chill while you play. It's nice to have a mix available so I'm all for more seated games!
