It's still too early, for the moment the game doesn't really inspire me.
Maybe a little chilled after reading "Electronic Arts" in one of the articles.
But I hope I'm wrong and it will be a good video game.
The trailer doesn't captivate me so far.
Interesting looking game. More interesting than Palworld for me, since the whole gunzlol thing doesn't appeal at all. The sugar-glider like monster is cute. I'll keep an eye on this one.
Probably not really for me, but looks pretty solid and like something a lot of people would like.
If it means Pokemon no longer has monopoly over the monster taming genre, meaning they can no longer afford to keep making broken mediocre games, than I'm all for it, this and Palworld.
Only a fool would advertise themselves and alert the competitors of their presence ahead of time! (jk)
Not a fan of this one but it looks more believable than Palworld that`s for sure.
I'm so glad somebody beat me to this punch. I wanted a game like this for a while. It's why I started to work on my game.
Meh, the game looks…fine…not much to look at for the time being and personally wasn’t too big on the monster designs which imo look rather uninspired…
Ed, I need you to stop showing me these amazing games. You are going to make me go broke my dude
we want monster taming porn
Wann ist eigentlich genau nochmal der nächste steam sale? Manchmal verpass ich vorher oder nacher das ganze etwas weil nicht alles so groß angekündigt wird.
Looks neat. It potentially looks like a good way to sink some time into what looks like a fairly laid-back game play loop. As mentioned, it looks like it still needs some more time in the oven, but it could potentially be a good one 👍
It’s definitely not going to do as well as Palworld will but it looks OK
Looks interesting if I’m being honest here’s hoping it turns out to be good
Looks interesting. I've applied for the playtest. I like the designs they've shown so far and I'm up for supporting a dev who's opening up their project for an early playtest like this.
Hey Ed, any news on lumentale
First, game looks cool, will probably check it out.
Second, the music in the first 20 seconds of the video sounds super familiar, swear I've heard it before somewhere
the social sandbox catch me a little, reading this remember me Animal Crossing, i dont like animal crossing
It looks like they are trying to get a lot of different features in the game. From the video it sounds like its a big team (and has experienced leads) so maybe it won't end up suffering from scope creep. But time will tell, hope I get into the playtest.
Looks promising!
I'm interested.
Really fun watching you go through our material and hearing your thoughts on the tiny bit of content available to you right now. I appreciate the coverage and look forward to more in the future 🥳
"came out of nowhere" where are games supposed to come from? every game just pops up suddenly especially indies.
Its beautiful, but honestly, we don't see anywhere near enough of the game in that trailer. This game looks good, but it just feels like they are putting something out way too early. Honestly, I would expect to see way more from a game that is in the alpha stage. If the last decade is anything to go by, it feels like they have to show something in order to get more money coming in so that they can do some more development. 9 out of 10 games that did that last decade either did not make it out of early access or just got 1.0 slapped on an unfinished product. What we are seeing has a lot of potential, but I really just don't feel that there's enough being shown to be confident in the future of this game.
More worrying is the news article itself. The 1.6 million that they raised won't get them far. At 50k each, they can pay 16 devs for 2 years, and that does not include other expenses. I don't think that's anywhere near enough for an open world monster catching game.
The domain name Lumari is already registered. I hate to say it, but when choosing a name for a game, checking those kinds of things is basics 101. The result is that when you Google Lumari, you end up finding completely unrelated web sites.
Nothing about this really looks like Minecraft. Will be interested to hear how the playtests go
