I never thought about it but ennemy Neeko was pretty smart ! Copying a low health ally to bait is a really cool move !
AD mage is kinda like many long ranged carries and mages in old Dota, which heavily relied on their skill damages in the early game and get more auto-attack damage in the late game.
It's not a bad concept at all cause you'll deal a good amount of damages in the mid game when you maxed out your main damage skill and you'll also have damage from your auto.

Just a tip. The Q refunds 100% mana and 30% cooldown if you kill something with it. It helps making her early farm a bit easier.
