This is the truest skit I have ever seen. I think I am going to write a note to beginning of the year me at the end of the year with all the "great ideas" that I refuse to start mid-year or think would be a great idea "next year". It took me 2 days just to set up my furniture and get my room zoned (all the stuff in the general area they go in). It will take me another 2 to print and laminate. I do not regret leaving it all for beginning of the year me to do though, bc end of the year me deserved that break and giving it to her has made it possible for beginning of the year me to come back full of excitement, energy, and hope.
End of the year Ms. Solomon always had students laminate new bulletin board items, organize the cabinets and bins, refill glue, and I print out first week activities….but I teach middle school and there's nothing to do for the kids who did all their work for the last 2 days. We make ice cream and butter but that still leaves 75% of the day.
Lame clickbait with the misspelled "your." I thought it was a joke, so I clicked. Mistakes can be made, but how ironic for a teacher, no? ETA: The video was titled with the word, "you're," but Miss Smith changed the title (without explanation) after I published my comment.
The sad thing is that I am right now looking at three crates that I brought home at the end of the school years to “sort, file & organize “ over the summer…. I have 7 days of summer vacay remaining….IDT it’s going to happen…..😂😂😂😂😢😢😢😢
This is my life, except I teach K1 in a center based program so we don't get summer break. We get 1 week with no kids to clean up everything 😅 We look at it and don't get much done until that final week. Good Luck
I purged at the end of last year. I had been putting it off for a while but i needed everything to fit and find space for a whole new set of texts b/c i will have am additional prep this year. I'm so glad i did, for once i won't be walking into chaos.
😂 Yeahhh, I got kicked out of my classroom the morning after the last day of school. I'm in a similar position, except with the added bonus that they didn't deliver my desk to my new classroom!
This is definitely me! I started off putting everything away in an organized manor but my the last day of school I was shoving crap where ever I could find a space! 😂
Nobody has ever done this to me, at least not on purpose! One year I did leave a mess because I had to leave suddenly for family emergency. Come a week before school resumed, I hired (for pay) three former students to help me. I gave them 2/3 minimum wage and lunch every day. They were the neatnics and the kid with autism and ocd, all fifth graders who’d I’d taught in grades K-1. It was very well worthwhile. I hired two of the same, one in seventh, one in eighth grades to do pre-made decor, bulletin boards, door decorations, wall posters, name tags on books, desks, materials, toys, books arranged. The eighth grader had been the too bossy kid in grade one, and the seventh grader, the quiet, creative type. I paid them as well, 3/4 minimum plus lunch. They also got a head start on required service hours for middle school. I had to tell them not to mention the pay, and gave it in cash. Didn’t want any trouble with admin. Kids were trustworthy, said not a peep!
@leilaniadams8121 Why are you so mad? You sound like the end of the school year you. BTW are you even a teacher? If you are, then you should understand the video. Just a reminder, teachers are human and YES we make spelling mistakes!
Hahahahhaah! This is me. End of day mom leaves dishes for the refreshed morning mom to start her day 🤪
This Is me. Just jamming things in places and pretending I'll manage in the fall.
See, what I did was end of year came and then two weeks into summer I went back and cleaned out my closet

Maybe the refreshed teacher could come in and help with the end of year stuff 😂
Hahahahaha!

Me working on classroom setup right now. Why would May me do this to August me?
That is exactly what I came back to two weeks ago. I had to haul a trash cam from the cafeteria to my room to take care of it all. facepalm
