As a katana main, seeing that guy waste such a good counter move on spam was disgusting. Moonveil is intimidating only when you pull it out reactively in my experience, otherwise the audio cue makes it super easy to just dodge. (I personally think Rivers of Blood is more fun, but it's more offensive than defensive, plus the damage is eeeh.) What I do is start out RoB, then hot swap to Moonveil when they don't expect it, then back to RoB again, and so on. Also just stancing with it and playing chicken with people is fun as hell. This my first dive into the PvP side of Souls games and I gotta say, some cool people all around.
I haven’t used moonveil myself, I opted for the moonlight gs. It’s worked for me in pvp and pve but I was wondering how it stacks up to the moonveil in public opinion?
