I have s build of this commander one of my favorite decks. It always does stuff and is gas.
8:00 "So we can actually put this on an opponents creature if we want to be a little defensive"
It would be nice, but it does specify creature you control and this deck doesn't seem to have any way to change control of creatures.
Huh. I was jus thinking about building Sythis. What a coincidence!
Sythis is too meta for enchantment decks
I just built a satyr deck for pauper which sythis helms at regular tables
I love sythis in my 99 of my Tuvasa enchantress!! I préfère drawing less and having access to blue !!😁😁
This topic feels like you just got into commander and found "new" really broken commander. This is easiest casual deck if you are looking into winning games. People doesn't run mass removal to enchaments.
This has been my main deck since Sythis was released. I draw cards like no tomorrow.
Would solitary confinement shut down sythis? If you had shroud then wouldn’t sythis’s ability for us to gain life and draw a card be mute? Or is it technically not targeting
I just made a Sythis deck a couple of weeks ago and she's quickly becoming my favorite. Storming off and casting 9 spells in one turn feels great. Especially if you have an Aetherflux Reservoir and can just blow someone's face off
Running a bunch of enchants for lands is so smart, this deck looks fun.
🎉
I need the internet to stop doing popular videos on decks I planned to make days ago its getting kinda scary 🙈
can you plz do a $100 upgrade , thank you
I’m sorry for being stupid but what’s the win condition?
No 'Colosofication' 😢
Was just looking to buy a budget Sythis deck, this video couldn't come at a better time.
Nevinyrral: “Allow me to introduce myself”
So with you drawing so many cards, how do you prevent from having to discard those cards at the end of your turn?
what's the win con for this deck?
Ha, I was just putting together a Sythis deck, and got some great ideas from this vid. Love when that happens, thanks!
Tokens without any evasion seem like an inconsistent win con. Possible solutions:
– Give them haste with Crashing Drawbridge
– Give them trample with Primal Rage or something else
– Give them vigilance with Serra’s Blessing
– Forget about tokens and make this a Voltron deck: All That Glitters, Helm of the Gods etc
– Giving your commander hexproof would be nice: boots, another boots, Alpha Authority
What do you think?
"When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid." -Audre Lorde
Always, and I mean ALWAYS(!), play this with Reliquary Tower and Thought Vessel in your deck
There's still some pretty cheap tech you can run that Mitch didn't include as they are above the $1 threshold. Sanctum weaver and Sigil of the empty throne are easily $1-$2. Destiny Spinner is pretty cheap as well at around $2. Another solid pickup thats going up in price again but still sitting at $5-$7 is flickering ward which is a white version of whip silk. Another card thats around $1 is nature's chosen. With all the auras he runs, he can tap sythis to untap one of his loaded up lands, and its also great with Sanctum Weaver. A card that is within the less than $1 range is meticulous excavation. Can bounce any of your permanents to hand for you to replay. Card is only 1 mana and cost 3 to do so. And it also goes infinite with nature's chosen and Sanctum weaver. Or nature's chosen and a critical mass of auras that is enchanting a land. A cheap way to tutor your auras up Finally some upgrades for some additional Enchantresses. Setessan Champion and Eidolon of Blossoms which around $3 a piece. They are ETB based Enchantresses with Eidolon being able to trigger itself since it is an enchantment and Setessan Champion being a kami of transcense that draws you cards.
Side note: you could also run On Thin Ice which is a 1 mana enchantment that exiles a creature on etb if you want to shell out extra cash to make all of your basics snow basics
Been playing enchantress since the pandemic. Love playing it so much that when i converted from Tuvasa to Sythis, i sold a very large portion of my collection to buy a Serra's Sanctum
This was my very first commander. Made her deck about 6 months ago and it's surprising just how fast she can get going.
Have you ever though about making something like a collab with big TCG stores to release your decks as TCQ Speciality or something? Becouse I see its like a precon – a lot of fun cards and a lot of cards to change immediately.
I think you should do full cheap enchantress draw pack, with Verduran Enchantress, Setessan Champion and Eidolon of Blossoms. There is no reason to go for Trelassarra and Well of Lost dreams if you can use enchantresses. And you can always proxy Argothian one aswell 😀
Why bother with Abudance when you are drawing 7-12 cards per turn. How deeper you need to go?
And with which cards this deck wins? Trifecta of token makers? Then why not add Sigil of the Empty Throne to make some 4/4 fliers?
And I think that Voltron subtheme is too easy to achive to not to add Ethereal Armor, All That Glitters, Ancestral Mask.
There is also very cheap Creature tutor for 3 mana – Heliod's Pilgrim.
And Sythis is a very nice commander for new players – I build one for myself but figured out that my GF doesn't grow as a player too much so she is playing sub optimal list (had to remove a lot of bear umbras, erhereal armors and stuff) and now we are around 50-50 in gameplay.
Edit: im from Europe and it looks like prices are not the same on both sides of the ocean..
Love my sythis deck, the cleric class card which gains you an extra 1 life whenever you gain a life is super awesome!
Is it normal that prices of these exact decks goes up like a lot some hours after he releases a video guide? I mean by the double amount.
This deck benefits greatly from running a reliquary tower so that your hand has no maximum size. I personally also like running heliod to give lifelink with walking ballista and aetherflux reservoir.
I run a very high budget Sythis deck (well over $1K) that also primarily wins with tokens, and even still, I have a number of very low cost cards that still make the cut.
Defensive Formation. Completely stops trample and allows your wienies to slaughter larger creatures. $0.27
Force of Virtue. Primarily stays in the deck as a free, instant speed enchantment cast. $0.54
Conclave Tribunal. I don't think I've ever cast this for 4 mana. With all of my tokens, it becomes another free removal spell. I'm honestly surprised Mitch overlooked this one. $0.09
Weaver of Harmony. Extra enchantment triggers, what's not to love? $0.45
Angelic Renewal. A way to protect key creatures even through shroud or -X/-X effects, causes death and etb triggers, and isn't an aura. $0.38
Ground Seal. Gives cards in all graveyards shroud and can trips. Doesn't stop all graveyard strategies, but it still lets you mass reanimate your enchantments if you're running that kind of strategy. $0.28
Finally, just barely outside the $1 budget but rarely played and worth the mention, Nature's Chosen. Card is pretty wordy, but the primary benefit is either untapping an enchanted land, or untapping a key creature (such as Sanctum Weaver). The amount of mana this card can give you for a single green is astounding. $1.45
Built this (and your Feather deck!). Very creative and fun thank you for the ideas!!
the only thing stopping me making a Sythis deck is i have a Tuvasa the sunlight deck already. Enchantress decks are my favorite. just remember not to take 10 min turns lol
