  1. I love this show so much. xD The fact that the show is fully aware of just how cringe and insane it is and turning it up to over 9000
anyways just somehow makes it work. I'm actually kind of invested into the story and characters even though I probably shouldn't.

  2. I love the mix of amazing action, animation, and sound design paired with what on paper seems like the most cringy and ridiculous story. If this show didn’t have the sound and cinematography that it did it would be like 5/10, but you mix it all together and it’s a solid 9

like…the idea he just has a checklist of "cool lines to say" is glorious.
being a chuuni in an ACTUAL magic world…and then still acting like a secret chuuni and just…somehow thinking the girls are just playing along with his fantasy, lol

  4. "It is a guilty pleasure anime that goes all in on "otaku culture"/chuuni. You can place yourself in every cringey moment as it embraces every trope that corresponds with silly childhood imaginations, action movies, and other teenage dark memories. At the same time, it shields you from the cringe by reminding you that Cid is not taking it seriously, so you can flip between each state as you like and enjoy it in a "safe space"." There! Described it perfectly!
