Meanwhile well-connected journalist Tina Brown has written that the possible retirement of the King’s principle private secretary Sir Clive Alderton opens another door for the estranged Harry. In his memoirs Spare, the Duke famously described Alderton as ‘The Wasp’ as he saw him as someone trying to block meetings between Charles and his son – the Mail on Sunday’s Charlotte Griffiths gives her reaction to this.
The Daily Mail’s Royal Editor looks at the news that Catherine, Princess of Wales will make another comeback at the state visit from the Emir of Qatar next week. Rebecca also pays tribute to Liz Hatton, a photographer and cancer patient who sadly died this week. Liz came on Palace Confidential after meeting the Prince and Princess of Wales.
