Can you not put a pusher that pushes 3 out of every 4 into storage and the other goes to make plates?
Yeah that needs some early food. Why have astronauts come and have to do a hundred thing things before you feed them 🤣🤣🤣
The scientists do look cool in the building, they are all moving in sync tho
it sucks that there's no "limiter"… they way I have my "ship" set up is that the ground floor processes ore into ingots and puts them in a warehouse, then my next floor has separate lines for plates, wires, rods and so on… so if I need iron plates I grab 200 ingots and put them in the plate line, if I need copper wires I grab copper ingots and put it in the wire line… and all that goes into another warehouse… and the top floor is just 16 catchers
That robot is the worst part about this game. I don't want to fully disable it, I just want it and its unnecessarily massive screen to GTFO of my face every time I unlock something new. It should have been a pip boy style thing like fallout. I do really appreciate how well the 16x works when you have your "base" self-sufficient. Need a bunch of science? Hit 16x and walk away for a bit. Overall really liking the game. Also – I think one of the later unlocks is arithmetic logic blocks. Haven't used them yet but my hunch is they're used to control how much is stored and how much is sent out of storage.
If you want to store some of something while using the rest, you have a couple options. One, you could put a splitter before the storage box (easiest). Second, you'll unlock more logic stuff later that will let you setup a trigger to monitor an amount of something in a storage container and allow/block the specified item(s) coming in based on how many are in the container.
You can do in-place upgrades of machines. So like upgrading the smelter to advanced smelter, press q to enter select mode, left-click on the normal smelter to selected it, press u to upgrade. You can also upgrade the belts once you unlock the pro belts.
Why don´t you just place splitters behind the storages and make then spit like 20% of the content?
For the iron bars you can use a splitter that split 50% or less into the storage and the rest where u need it
Mine carbon as much as you can. You need carbon for power. Without power it doesn't matter how much iron, copper, gold and etc. you have.
I know that you did not like the large storage but you should think about making it. While you are building the parts needed come straight out of the large storage and there is no need to carry around every single thing that you make or go back to the small storages over and over. Good episode! The astronauts waking up the ladder was hilarious! Now that I know they will go up another level I can move my guys too.
Idk but I'm assuming you want to make a pusher before each storage directing each material to it's application before storing the percentage you want to save.

I dont have the game so there may be a better way to do it. put a splitter on the output of the storage and wrap it around into the storage container.
There's an early game food thing you make with hydrogen
You can just hit U to upgrade any buildings providing you have the resources to build it.
