The Hellcat is an SRT, the "Street and Racing Technology division of Dodge, and it's engine is not the same as the step lower ScatPack/392. The ScatPack has a NA 6.4 liter engine, while the Hellcat has a supercharged 6.2. The 6.4 liter engine is a blast to drive and is a bit punchier of the line than the Hellcat, but can't compare once the Hellcat gets moving.

The 2005 merc E-Class thing is totally overstated – in shared a floor pan, which was stretched, and changed over time. Further – the difference between the SRT 8 and the Hellcat engine…. where do we start – the SRT8 is naturally aspirated, the Hellcat is supercharged. The SRT 8 is the tall deck 6.4 litre V8, the Hellcat is based on the short deck 6.2 litre V8, which equates to a stiffer block, which was then reinforced. The list of differences is as long as my arm, once you get into the details.

Those three buttons as mentioned in another comment are for adaptive cruise control however you can reactivate them and reprogram them for things like line lock crank to cooling fans on when you're at the track or a light show. Buttons are still active underneath the plastic blanks.
