  1. I'm only 34 and I used to watch this on repeat as a kid. You have every right to your opinion, but I'm shocked that anyone could find this boring. It's a visual feast and celebration of music as an art form. If you go into it expecting a narrative of course you won't get what you were looking for, but not everything is made to be that. I just hope you don't find art museums, concerts and history books boring as well. Humanity has created so many wonders and only a fraction of them are made up of fictional narratives.

  2. Fun facts: Before Walt decided to use Mickey as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice the role was originally going to Dopey, but Walt wanted to bring Mickey since he was losing popularity from Donald. The sorcerer’s name is Yen Sid. As for Mickey chopping the broom there’s actual animation that didn’t make the cut.

  3. I didn't exactly find it boring but I just didn't have the patience to watch it. Like, I understand its concept and all, in terms of art, is AMAZING. And I appreciate it. But I just can't see myself sit through the entire movie.

  4. É uma obra de arte na sua forma mais pura, independente da língua do espectador. Por isso estoy escrevendo isto em português 🇧🇷.
A opinião mostra a queda da cultura das gerações mais recentes.

  5. You think an African centaur is "racist"? Do you think all centaurs are white? Or pastel? If you want to see a movie whose whole point is racism, see Blazing Saddles. I dare you. Tell us how horrible that is.

  6. This is my all-time favourite Disney movie TBH XD
Buuuut I will happily admit it's an acquired taste. I understand why many people find it a bit too slow-going. As many have said, it's less of a conventional movie and more of an animated concert of sorts.
My favourite segments are the Rite of Spring and Night on Bald Mountain. 🦖😈

PS: the "ass guy" on the Disney team was apparently Walt Disney himself 😂

  7. I can understand how someone like yourself is not into classical music, (hey, to each their own). But I read there was this idea that Walt Disney planned to film an entire orchestra and sell THAT as the movie Fantasia. Walt felt that would have been boring for a film idea, so he went ahead with animation to lighten up the movie. Would you have enjoyed Walt's first idea than his second? Also, you're wrong about the black zebra centaurettes being the "offensive" characters and that notice you read before this movie began was also wrong because the most streotypical black centaurette had been cut out. You mentioned Sunflower which is the one being talked about, but she's not in this censored version of Fantasia you're watching. You should type in Fantasia Deleted Scene Sunflower on Youtube to see what she really looked like.
15:01: Lady, if you bothered to paid attention to what the Master Of Ceremonies was saying about this piece, you'd know this is like a Russian Halloween. Chernobog (the devil), is summoning souls and demons alike to celebrate on the one day they're allowed to be in the mortal world. Once it's over, they all go back to their graves and to Hell.
Lady, if you felt this movie was not your cup of tea at any point, why would you even bother to continue watching it? Perhaps you did it because you were hoping something you liked came along (which it did during the few times) or maybe you did it for your fans who are fans of this movie also, despite you not being one evidently. Anyway, if you didn't want to watch any more of this movie, just say so. You'd be doing yourself and your audience a favor by not wasting time because you've shown more disinterest than interest. As for your suggestion of whether Disney+ should've included the disclaimer or not for this film, I would go with giving people the option to either watch this movie censored or watching it in its original format (uncensored). There'd be notices for each, but it's better to let people decide which to watch, to separate the snowflakes from the mature minded, let's say.

  8. Maybe stop talking through it and actually watch the whole thing in one go with no distractions. It's not a Tik-Tok.
This is someone that does not understand films, doesn't even know how to watch them.
This film, both music and visuals needs your full attention.
You wanted to see the "offensive" parts so you could be offended.

  9. As a lifetime fan of the Fantasia Legacy, I can clearly see that you're missing the point of this movie existing, and that you don't like classical music like the rest of us. You have got to watch William H. Amazing talk about why this stuff is so important: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ag4R4DvDm4&t=818s

Who knows? Maybe you'll wind up agreeing with him, and most everyone around here for that matter. (And you might find out along the way how awful rap can be.)

  10. Most movies don't need a story to make things interesting. All they need is good visuals… And boom! There you go! Fantasia is one of them.

After all… I loved the movie because it's visual storytelling and not narrative storytelling. The visuals are what you need if the story is not present. It's a shame you didn't enjoy it. But hey, everyone has different tastes

  11. This girl needs to stop virtue signaling and calm down… No one was hurt or became "racist" because they watched FANTASIA.

She's reacting to this movie like it's Nazi propaganda and playing up how upset she is for the camera.

  12. I think you're really missing the point walt Disney created fantasia as an experimental movie of combining art visuals with classical music the main point is the art behind it the richens that the animation and musical score it has . If you don't appreciate animation or classical music is understandable why you think it's (boring)

  13. i think Fantasia would have worked better as shorts as i and many of my friends actually like some of its segments, but never the entire movie. its like watching a disjointed, unfinished project. so i agree with people who said this film is pretentious, and i think Fantasia is by far the most Overrated Disney movie. it belongs to the group with Melody Time, Saludos Amigos, etc, but not on the same "Masterpiece" level as Snow White, Bambi, Peter Pan, etc.

by saying this i can already see people judging, "how dare you dislike this movie", that i have zero understanding on anythinh. oh, well… 😂

  16. Not everything needs to have a story, Fantasia is basically a thing that doesn't need story it just shows you what the imagination and feel of it would look like through music and that's what they were doing by combining animation, and honestly it's your opinion and likes, it's just that not everything needs to have a point, plot, or makes sense, art can also be surreal and nonsensical like Salvidor Dalí's paintings, i mean sure it's not to your likings or taste but why make a video off of it if it was so boring to you, honestly you should've just watched the movie alone without camera and just expressed your feelings to yourself instead of getting snarky and smart in comment section pookie.

  17. Fantasia, apart from my dad playing Beethoven in the house when I was six, was my introduction to classical music. I was the artsy bookworm when I was a kid, so, this spoke to me more. I think it's a real shame that kids from this generation aren't being given the chance to enjoy this kind of culture in an ocean of predictable, formulaic movies that are profit before entertainment. They are the death of creativity and of originality. They are ANTI-art.
