  1. Since the loot seems to be improving at the higher leveled areas you may need to return to the starting area for that broken pipe and / or get really tired to decrease your change of finding better equipment.

  2. Good stuff. Just want to mention that the louder the weapon in use, the more you'll draw in hoard attacks more frequently. Also the further you progress the worst and longer attacks get. Suppressed weapons tend to be less powerful but make sudden ambushes less common. I'd recommend giving your companion a semi or full auto suppressed/quiet weapon too.

  3. I've played this game so many times to know there's a really big difference between the flash game and the legacy release. Here are my tips:

-The legacy release is not generous on its loot table. Meaning the game will spawn guns based on your level and lucky finds loot table only spawn weapons above your level and not the end game weapons like AK and SCAR-H.

-the bug item that gives infinite carry capacity no longer spawn

-broken pipes and boards spawn more frequently at the suburb area (the first 2 explorable areas)

-loot drops and search finds are based on your luck, searching, and your character level. (Searching skill is bugged, even at higher level you can still find junk)

-the RPG has a static spawn at the docks inside a truck along with a few ammo

-you only need 35 lock pick skill to open any locks.

-the SV-SMG can spawn twice in a run if you have max searching and luck. (If you're playing on hardcore, it can spawn thrice)

-melee weapon attributes listed from best to worse: heavy/sharp, dull, and damaged

-ranged weapon attribute listed from best to worse: spec ops, military, scoped, ext. mag, lightweight, and damaged.

    – Aside from the static spawn on the military base, the M249 SAW can spawn at least once if playing hardcore at max searching skill and luck.

-the most cost effective weapon in the game is the UMP-45 – Spec Ops. This gun is found in a weapon box at the HERC office in the Stadium.

-Special Weapons like bow, chainsaw, RPG and grenade launcher is not affected by 'damaged' attribute. It means special weapons will have the same stats regardless of the attributes.

    – blunt melee skill is easier to raise than blade melee skill, but blade melee does not lose momentum at the end game.

-You can increase your carry capacity by increasing strength.

-there's a bug in the companions that causes them to lose their given weapons and revert to their old weapon upon travelling to other areas or opening the travel map. The current workaround for this is to take back your companion's equipped weapon and giving it back on the next area.

-with the companion bug present, the best companion for the game would be Hank as he is the only companion that is equipped with a firearm.

-there's a chance that Hank can die on the HERC compound after you rescue your spouse. There is a scripted spawn of a HERC soldier outside of the tent where your spouse is located, targeting only Hank. IThe HERC soldier will always shoot out a few rounds before losing its invulnerability.

-there is a semi automatic shotgun on the game called Thor. It spawns in a weapon box on the prison area in the stadium beside the cage.

-clothing does not provide protection. You can literally walk around naked and still get the same damage resistance based on your the points invested on your survival skill.

-keeping your firearm in the off hand weapon slot will give you a better chance to spawn ammo for it.

    – in every 30 or less zombies, there is at least 1 or 2 bag carrying zombies.

    – the best cost effective high-damage firearm in the game is the M249 SAW – Military, boasting 20 dmg, decent accuracy and high ammo capacity. 2nd is the UMP-45 – Military having 17 dmg and high accuracy, and 3rd is the UMP-45 – Spec Ops, for being suppressed and high accuracy with a damage of 16 per bullet.

-the SV-SMG, despite being having the best DPS with good accuracy and recoil in the game, flops for eating expensive ammunition at a relatively fast rate. This gun is best given to companions as they have unlimited ammo.

-shield zombies have a tendency to forget about whatever its job is and always found to be on defensive stances on attack. He is just a nuisance than a threat. It's weak point is at his foot, just a slither below it's shield

-riot helmet, if found or bought from King-o-pawn always have a visor on, a riot helmet dropped by a zombie, does not.

  4. I remember when I was playing this, I always went back to low level areas, as there was a broken pipe near the beginning… until I remembered to stick one in the stash just for that quest.
