  1. I know it kinda goes without saying but I greatly appreciate the research you put into the staffers and related individuals/studios and the tangents that follow. I've had the same feeling researching video game dev credits on sites like gamefaqs and mobygames and having my mind blown that all the stuff I've known and loved throughout the years had connections to other things I was aware of at the time lol. Like Gunpey DS is made by much of the game staff as Ninety Nine Nights (the first one with the Kingdom Under Fire studio codeveloping, not the Tak Fuji one million troops meme one). Dunno what I'm supposed to do with that info but it sure is fascinating, and puts into perspective how small many industries actually are.

another fun one, look into the Jumping Flash devs and check out the crossover they had with other studios behind a lot of early Japanese PlayStation games (and all those crazy PocketStation games!)

  2. it is so cool that you were able to talk to lee oscar. what a cool guy!! as an archival nerd i always appreciate the amount of research you do in these videos hazel. thank you for making genuinely well put together videos about media for weirdos without downplaying the media in question. it means the world to me for real.
    also library penguin! wow!!
also also i highly recommend the book 80s girly design collection to anyone whos into freak little mascots like the beer penguins. it collects a ton of niche ones and shows off a bunch of the silly merch made for them and a little of their background. theres ones for other decades too iirc

  3. 1:37:10 Omg, thank you for calling that shit out. That pretentious pseudo deep youtuber "wrap up" part so many people put at that at the end of their videos, it always bothers me. Like, the topic is some obscure thing that's probably irrelevant in 99% of any day to day conversation, you do not need to try to make it some kind of metaphor for life.

Anyways, great video, thank you for making it.
