  1. Your biggest issue is still using 1 pitch too many times in a row. You're NOT Mariano Rivera…a reliever can get away with having 2 pitches, but not a starter, not if you're going more than 2 times through the lineup. Mix your pitches and pay attention to what each batter is hitting. If they're fouling off or hitting an outside pitch, throw inside.

  2. if you can make it happen, try this loadout for your pitcher….

loadout: Control I, Control III, Control IV, and Velocity I
pitches: 4SFB, Circle Change, Slider, Sinker and Cutter….

    hopefully this works for you?

(I googled this and this was the best consensus I found)

  3. Another issue I saw….for a right handed pitcher, the cutter, the curve and slider are both designed to break to the left. When you throw them back door, you're taking away the natural break of the pitch. The 2 seam and the sinker are designed to break RIGHT.

  4. @Mighty Goat, while you’ve been saying the the running fastball is useless, it’s great at setting up curveballs or changeups. No one got a hit off of the running fastball. It may be worth keeping. It won’t be a strikeout pitch, but it sets up your other pitches well for the strikeout.

  5. Don’t forget each pitch has its own stats. You’ve put work into your 4seam but not the running fastball so no wonder it’s slower by a lot.
The AI wants you to do different speed pitches after each other. You def throw too many of the same pitch in a row

  6. I already know this is gonna be another useless data point in finding "the best build," and I haven't even watched a single inning.
You changed your perks AND your pitches 🤦‍♂️ How could you possibly know what you're benefitting from (or what isn't working) if you change everything!!!
Whether you play better or not, it's useless information.

  7. @MightyGoat ill day this again since you day you read your comments i have posted this 3 or 4 separate times and anyone who doesn't know this has never been to the practice mode and doesn't pay attention to their pitch par size……..the first pitch slot is your most accurate and your primary pitch and that goes on and stays true down to your 5th pitch. So say I have my curveball as my primary but next game I put it in the 4th slot the only thing that changes is literally the par size for the pitch and it changes considerably more for breaking balls than it does for fastballs the speed of the pitch doesn't change at all so I always throw my 4 seam in the 3rd or 4th spot still has amazing accuracy and the par size difference in a curve ball from your primary pitch to say putting it as your 5th pitch the par size will be probably 50% if not 60% bigger in the 5th spot than it will be in the first spot the velocity and the break don't change and the more you use a pitch the better it gets so if you haven't used a pitch its best to only change one at a time and note how they act and what their par size is

  8. Long time enjoyer of the series and game. For my personal experience I use pure analog(not good enough for other), and I use, 1. 4StFB, 2. Cutter, 3 Sinker, 4. Change up, 5. KnCurve. Again this works for me. But on pure analog though. So honestly don’t know is this help. Either way still enjoying the series !

  9. My opinion: Velocity generally leads to more strikeouts. Break is good for breaking balls (duh) but generally leads to weak contact. Control I think allows a bit more inaccuracy with the stick when you’re pitching and helps even when you’re tired. Be more willing to throw a ball, less low and belt high four seams (an occasional knee high strike isn’t bad), don’t throw the same pitch in a row too many times. Find your style. You switch up a lot and don’t get the feel for a style. I think you should go back to the velocity build and consider keeping a break if you’re getting hammered. The ones with conditional perks are great, when the condition is met. When you get a really high rating those might be more worthwhile than most of the base stat ones like velocity III. As for pitches: four seamer, change up, slider, curve, and then anything to switch up the conventional like a knuckleball or forkball. Pay attention to the batters stats above the strike zone on the bottom corner of the screen. You might be more willing to go at someone with weak power right over the plate if you’re having control issues.

  10. I agree with Scottie, you've got 3 pitches going the same direction. You need to vary that. With a right handed pitcher you could go 4 seam which is a dot at 98, cutter which breaks left around 95 slider which breaks left around 90, sinker that breaks right around 90, and a pitch that breaks down. Maybe a splitter or 12 6 curve or Vulcan change. You might be able to go into one of the exhibition modes and see which pitch you like better. I went with a splitter and was getting 88 to 90; I could never place the 12 6 where I wanted. This will help keep the batters guessing.

  11. Your pitch selection is why you suck but again you don’t see that. You continue to throw the same pitch over and over again you change your load out every game but you don’t see you’re the problem not the game.

  12. hey mighty just wanted to lyk,, I'm pretty sure you can throw a no hitter and not have a perfect game. like a dropped third strike or an error by the infield to get a man on base. its not a hit but its not a perfect game
