This Has To Change – New World Automatic False Bans & Transfer Bait

New World is a game I’m really enjoying, it does a lot of things right and while there are definite problems, I look forward to logging on each day. This recent decision is going to make quite a few people quit and it was totally avoidable. They have to start doing better and as consumers, we are the ones that ultimately hold them accountable to do so. It’s up to you to stand up for other people just as you would expect others to stand up for you when something like this happens.

  1. And it is not only ban, it is the ban without Due Process. Depending on your country, companies, like the governament, are bound to the laws of due process, and this seems to be an understanding that is fairly common among many countries.
What does this mean? It means you can't be punished before having your case judged, without having the chance to defend yourself, without having your plead heard.

I got one of these bans for no reason, It was last friday, to this day I haven't herad anything about my appeal nor the reason I was banned. I had a lawyer friend tell me to see if in the country I am in the due process also applies to companies and if so take them to court, because this is very much actionable.

  2. Yup, got banned for a day for "abusive behavior" I rarely talk in public chat and yesterday I was trying to get into the Amrine dungeon for 3 hours and complaining Amazon is shit enough to not implement a simple queue system. Can't complain about amazon, nope.

  3. I say New World will be dead by Christmas. People get other games during Christmas sales and after that we're roughly getting GW2 xpac release. GW2 also having solid PvP, but not being a ran by patheticly incompetent devs is defo gonna take away those players.

  4. Honestly, if they were added a single sentence that "You cannot do what we promised yet, but we are working on it in an upcoming patch" then the whole situation would be much less annoying, and more understandable.

  5. I dont know what we were expecting. This is Amazon. This was seen coming from a mile away lmao! Thank god Elyon releases this week – The literal ONLY game this year (besides maybe BF2042) where the publisher has been extremely active in making the changes needed/wanted for a happy community.

  6. I honestly just quit. I was super hyped for the game and enjoyed the beta. I felt I was doing stuff for no reason. Everything felt lack luster. Even watch streamers at lvl 60 now they are doing nothing but repeating boring tasks and lackluster quests.

  7. It's like this trillion dollar company only invested .01% of its resources into making this game. The care and attention that they've put into fine tuning the issues and providing post-launch support feels like it's zero to none. Such a shame because I really enjoyed this game in the beta, but the game right now feels like an unfinished product and they're OK with that.

Something tells me that Amazon doesn't care much about making games, and this is on the lower end of their product line.

  8. Very old dinosaur Ultime Online, in the golden old days, used to have an unspoken no-tolerance policy for that kind of abuse from players, either for hacking or false reports. They'd take their sweet time investigating, but if they found out that someone, belonging to a guild, did something that created an undue advantage for themselves, and therefore an undue advantage to their guild, OSI would ban the whole guild and terminate their accounts. There were some episodes in the early days of 100+ player guilds vanishing overnight. They'd post about it on their forum and the vast majority of guilds very quickly started enforcing proper behavior and respect for the rules of the game. People in the guild started to immediately rat on guildmates in the hopes of avoiding a mass ban and losing all their effort in the game. Amazing how that worked.

  9. I knew it was bait. The 2k per server is the real problem but this is what they want. The autoban nonsense is a boneheaded decision. It's like they never see how it can be abused like anything.

  10. It's less about loving the corpo feces, it's more that people become absolute cultists in online games. Day one boom, cult formed, you have roving bands of cretins in whose heads the game lives rent free, and anybody who has opinions is canceled with extreme prejudice.

  11. Even without this massive issue New world was screwed. It has barely any end game content. Once everyone is maxed people will start quitting in droves. Ofc this can be fixed depending on the content release schedule, but as of right now it’s a ticking time bomb.

  13. Yeah that's what happens when a garbage game company makes a game. I also have heard that the people handling the bans are overseas in India or something that have no clue what is going on. This is amazon, they dont give a crap.

  14. I got one of those automatic bans. I was cutting some trees and a group of people from a rival faction appeared out of nowhere in my farm spot and started doing the same, I paid no mind but after some minutes the ban screen appeared.

Amazon replied to my ban appeal WITH A GUIDE ON HOW TO APPEAL TO A BAN, which was the most redundant and asinine thing I've ever saw in my entire life.

  15. They have no idea or perception of what is supposed to be done in decent game life cycle, or how to handle a product. Cuz they havent got one before.
Hopefully they will eat shit this time and make future games (if ever) better.
I thought the combat looked wack, so I didn't buy it, hoping for content creators to cover this game and spark my interest maybe. Yeah…. no, can't stand lies in official announcements, not gonna buy this game.

  16. 100+ on most trading skills, lvl 40+ character and stuck on 160 ping US West server as EU was overloaded with queues and shit.
Yup, it fucking pisses me off as I started on US West with the Twitter responses in mind.

  17. What your missing is the fact that if you bought the game, you have done what they want. There is no pay to play structure in place. If you bought it they have your money, and tbh if you continue or not is no relevance to them.
