Now you see why drake is nowhere near my top fifty rappers of all time but come saying that neither is Kendrick or Eminem.

I honestly had an epiphany a few days ago. We're looking at Drake all wrong (not defending or caping trust me). This dude has basically been method acting his whole career. His songs, the personas, the accents. He clearly has some musical talent. However, he isn't content to be just himself, the guy people were first introduced to musically. He took on roles of other rappers through the ghostwriting and clicking up. Some of the motivation was definitely money and the ability to produce at volume. But the rest, I don't think dude trusts his own work/skills by itself to get him where he wanted to go. I also think he is a prestige vampire that sucks away at the style of rising, trending rappers to keep them from being as unique as they might otherwise be.
