Do the offspring. you kind of owe it… loved the reaction Knox
As a Desert Storm combat vet, thank you for covering 5FDP. These videos have always been hard for me to watch. Thank you for doing what you do. Semper Fi
This is why I love and support Five Finger Death Punch, they would do anything for the Armed Forces, Vets, and First Responders
Solid review as always. Check out the original , by the Offspring.
I don’t care how tough you are, nobody wants to make that trip to a dead comrades family. That shit is devastating
❤
Its a good cover. But I find the original from the Offspring has far more emotional impact
Please do Slaughterhouse by Motionless In White ft. Bryan Garris. I want your honest reaction and breakdown of the lyrics to this. You won’t be disappointed.
Much love and appreciation from Kentucky ❤️🙏❤️
This is the offspring cover
Ivan's dad is a veteran. They give a flag to a veteran at every concert they do. Whn i saw them last year in Denver he gave that honor to his dad in the crowd.
My grandpa was in Vietnam to but he luckily made it out his name was tom
“Once life is over, you can’t get it back” hit hard. It sounds like a simple concept but it’s not as that easy. As a dude going through divorce and despair, this line is helping me bring me out of my self-destructive behavior caused by grief and shame or failure. Gotta lace up my boots and get my shit together for my 4 children … and myself. Heaven isn’t as far away as we all may think it is
This is an Offspring song.
Idk about the other members but Ivan, the lead singer, was a marine which I believe is why a lot of his songs or videos are military related
Both this version and Offspring's version hits hard every time.
I thought that ringing was tinnitus lol
I don't know if any of the band are Veterans, but they support the hell out of our Veterans. It always seems like "entertainers" (ie Jon Stewart, 5FDP, Avenged Sevenfold and many more I'm sure, those 3 are all my brain is kicking out right now) are the ones that do the most for advocating in a LOUD voice, say Hey YOU (gov't) sent these people over there, now you have to do MORE when they come home . And while that is wonderful, it should not have to be that way.
Their music always does an initial kick in the teeth, especially the ones dealing with Veterans. I Remember Everything is another.
Notice the 3 black wristbands at the end. Well you know what they are for
An excellent cover, and 5FDP managed to absolutely capture the raging grief and despair the song was written with but I've always connected more strongly with the original. Something about Dexter's delivery is just so iconic and raw.
Also would absolutely love to see you react to Bliss N Eso. They're an Australian rap group but they don't tend to go in for the more violent/grandstanding wannabe gangster rap that really lets down some of the other biggest artists that otherwise dominate the genre. In particular I think any one out of Reflections, Home Is Where The Heart Is, or Addicted would be great to see.
