  1. 34:30 fun fact about the Wedding Ring is that’s the original location from the Japanese version! Which would make a lot of sense along with the other changes they’ve made like TEC having a red eye now instead of blue.

  2. Crystal Palace was originally tupo'd as Goomstar Temple in the GCN version of the game, due to the katakana of "crystal" being "ku-ri-su-ta-ru"

The translators erroneously viewed the "ku-ri" as the first two characters of "ku-ri-bo" (the JP name for Goombas), which left "su-ta-ru" looking like "star" transcribed in katakana

  3. Apparently for the Bub trouble, you can pick any of the options for the gift for his mom and she'll react the same because she cares more about the letter than the item that goes with it.

  4. After seeing you do the Luigi trouble it reminded me of a neat detail they added in the remake: if you talk to Bow in Poshley Heights you'll now get a cool remix of the PM64 main theme.

Edit: you also (very faintly) hear this when Parakarry delivers Peach’s letter and the map at the beginning of the game.

  5. The first time I played this game I had the "find this guy" quest active for several chapters. I didn't find him on the pier until I saw him in the cutscene when the ship leaves for keelhaul key

  6. I'm loving to see your members page grow and grow ^^

Such a great video. During it I ate, snacked, gave my cat his topical medication, and flossed my teeth (braces means it takes forever). Kind of sad it's over. I love seeing you play the game.

I love how you stitched together the Pit trouble. It looked really pleasant /gen

Oh, as an aside, it isn't all that important, but "handicap accessible" isn't the preferred term — "accessible" is fine. (it includes way more disabled folks (and includes folks with strollers and kids) and doesn't have the connotations that "handicap" does) Like I said, not all that important, but I thought it worth saying 🙂

  7. Not relevant to the video but I would have loved to play as Luigi and his partners on his waffle kingdom adventure, even if it was just in short snippets like the peach and bowser sections

  8. So…. I forgot to grab the trouble for the graffiti, and I just passed that floor. Still bombed it, so I'll be curious to see if it counts towards the trouble being completed properly…

Will update later tonight when I finish the Pit.

  9. Some of the troubles are just badly made and, still are. Lets take hot dog petelburg guy. If we assume you had zero hotdogs (lucky for me, I forgot but happened to have 2 dogs on me) this is the chain of events, even with the warp pipe update
    >go to T.C.
    >travel to warp pipe and warp to petelburg
    >walk to bulbo
    >walk back to warp pipe
    >warp to glitzville
    >buy dog
    >warp back
    >warp to petalburg
    >walk to bulbo

    >walk back to warp pipe

    >warp to glitzville

    >buy dog

    >warp back

    >warp to petalburg
    >warp to bulbo
    >walk back to warp pipe
    >return to rogueport
    >walk to pianta parlour
    >play games or buy tokens for cake mix
    >walk to zess T
    >sit through the arduous animation
    >walk to warp pipes
    >warp to petalburg
    >talk to bulbastard
    >get useless dried flower

Bare in mind, in the OG without the pipes, you had TO WALK FROM PETALBURG TO ROGUEPORT, and RIDE THE BLIMP every single time, unless you happened to have the dogs on you at the time like me, good god, why?

  10. I like that little montage of you taking out the enemies in the Pit of 100 Trials with one hit. It goes to show you've completely mastered this game and can tear through it like it's nothing, now.
