Eren in my opinion is a result of his environment. At the beginning of the series, I believe when he turns into a titan for the first time. Mikasa describes his roar as being akin to the rage of humanity itself, and I think that symbolically, that’s what Eren has always been. He is the ultimate result of the fucked up world that they are in. As far as his dad, I think his dad did the best that he could, by both trying to be a good father as well as one with the responsibility of humanity in his shoulders. In the end, he was manipulated by his own son through some time travel bullshit, so I don’t think that has anything to do with him being a good or bad father imo.
