  1. It getting a Beginner mode is interesting because there was some issue with that in the Western release. “Easy” was actually equivalent to Japan’s “Normal” and our “Normal” was equivalent to their “Hard.” So many players, like myself, picked Normal difficulty and were met with a harder challenge than was originally intended. Especially because it mostly effects stat and money gains, not actual combat difficulty

  2. There were several graphic glitches in the PS4 one and the story was almost non-existent making it almost entirely grinding, but still one of my favorite games regardless. I hope they really do bring in a lot of new content with this and fix the graphic glitches. They weren't anything serious as I've had several hundred hours of gameplay and I think only once was a glitch even close to game breaking but instead just caused me to get defeated and sent back to the city which fixed that glitch for that moment. I wouldn't recommend this for everyone, but I would definitely for any that like digimon or games where there isn't much strategy involved and want something more zen. lol

  3. Funny enough I have been really into raising Digimon Vpets (I got 2 of the Version 20ths) and it is tedious but fun so far! So it is fitting I see a rerelease of Next Order

Edit: Btw @gymleadered, I was wondering while on the topic of Digimon and V-pets. Do you consider V-pet LCD games to be part of the monster taming genre or is it a separate thing to you? Would you have interest in covering them in the future as well?

  4. it's a decent game i have it on ps4 it can be rough though having to feed and train them out in the world you even have to go bathroom the digimon only live for about a week time in game depending on how there mood is with your char

  5. First time played it PS4 version few months ago. Its a direct sequel to first Digimon World PS1, even has the main character from that game too. Absolutely excellent, great story, okay characters but fun battle system well paced exploration. Even has post game story arc for more content. Definitely must buy for any digimon fan or monster tamer fan 🌟

Beginner Tip: training dojo when have rookie form or higher is a waste of "time". Train defeating certain wild digimon for grand stat increases

Edit: also do all side quests, many of the games features open up only from side content from needing certain amount digimon NPCs allied to advance main story.

  6. And here I bought a ps4 mainly just to play this game a few months ago because it was a Playstation exclusive. Indeed, unless there's some major differences, I'll be content to enjoy it on the ps4. Now if the OG Digimon World got a remake I'd jump on that in a heartbeat.

  7. This was a fun game, its kinda turn based but kinda not? On the PS4 and Vita version its not too different but it does have some differences in story and recruit order. Next order had a ps4 and a psvita version, AND they just decided to put it on PS4 on local, which sucked. If they ported this to PC I'd buy it.

  8. dependingbon what your looking for, but if your a true digimon fan from childhood, this is the one. i put so many hours into the ps4 version but never completed it so im definitely getting the switch version. in my opinion its better than Cyber Sleuth and i been wishing this title would come to switch. Oh and far better than "Survive" different styles but still Next Order will have you hooked

  9. tip for new players when you unlock the farm and upgrade it enough only use one slot for food for your partners use the others for Jaguare patatos and sell them for a steady stream of cash its more useful in the beginning then using them for stat boosts
