This completely changed the way I see Tarkov

In this Escape from Tarkov journey, I want to thank my boy Timmy for pointing out something that completely changed Tarkov for me…to make up for the ridiculously silly recoil system in the game, I’ve got to adapt.

I hope you enjoy these types of videos! Let me know below.

  2. as someone who has been playing since 2016. Tarkov is a game that can take weeks to learn and years to master. you will never stop dying to dumbshit. learning the game takes time and deaths, but roll with the punches and keep with it. nice change of pace to see someone take actual criticism well instead of getting all worked up and offended and lashing out. Bravo to you good sir, good luck. and welcome to tarkov,

  3. After the first 50 hours, I got comfy with the game. Yes, it's extremely hard to get into the game at first but once you do, there are no other games like Tarkov. I'm sure they'll change the recoil system till launch.

  4. After years of sucking at this and every other FPS, I’ve determined that there are two things that prevent me from getting much better. First is target identification. In almost every instance, I’m spotted before I see them. Second is reaction time and aim. Lots of players can snap on target ridiculously quick.

  6. The recoil is what gets me, seems like just spraying and hoping for head, eyes is the way to go in this game from what I've seen. 3 mags you used on that guy, and im sure it wasn't your aim, and you a solid angle on him, but that damn recoil is ridiculous lol

  7. Good job tacti. 90% of surviving a raid in this game is knowing your spawn points and a route to go to immediately from that. Once you get that down and combine that with confidence in the ability to kill scavs and pmcs that's where the addiction comes in. You'll never completely get rid of gear fear but you'll cut it in half of eventually and that's all you need

  8. Wow, this was a journey on its own! Great job surviving that raid, you even got a PMC-kill 😀 Keep up this playstyle, slow, methodically, but also ready to engage at any moment and don't be afraid to die! We all start at some point, we all died to an angle we did not know yet and we all learned that we have to be extra carefull on this location next time. Thats, how you slowly progress through Tarkov and this is the way you get better and better at the game, even tho it will take some time!
Tipp from me, which really helped me in the beginning (I'm around 900hrs in and still don't know all the different spots on all maps):

    – Focus on one map first, the others can wait. Personally, I started with customs, and when you've gathered enough knowledge to run around the map from any spawn, even in darkness, to any place you want to go, without having to search, you can slowly try out other maps. The best way to learn is to go into offline-raids, run around, memorize different distinct landmarks and where they lead to.

    – sprint only when necessary (I didn't do that in the beginning, and you sound like a 50t bulldozer when you just sprint through everything xD)

    – as said, try to not blame the game / netcode / cheaters / etc when you die, but always start by searching the mistake at yourself. If you couldn't have done anything better to survive, try to learn, from where / from which angle you could have been shot from, and again, the offline-raids really help with that. If you know, what advantage your enemy had over you, you are not so likely to get overwhelmed by it again AND you might be able to use it against you enemies at some point yourself 😉

I hope I could help and motivate you to stick with the game 🙂 It is REALLY worth your time, espacially when you got out of a raid with a lot of good shit! There is just no game which gives you a feeling like it!

    Greetings
    Jonas

P.s.: Oh, and the recoilsystem you were complaining about: The automatic reduction has already been drastically reduced for patch 12.12., you might have felt it with the kick of your MP5 😉 You (believe it or not) weren't the only one complaining about the huge recoil-reduction over time, basically making some weapons straight up laserbeams 😀 Sure, there are still some meta-guns with very little recoil, but it's more the modding of the actual gun now and not so much the recoil-skill of your PMC anymore, so thats a good thing ^-^

  9. "The key to this game is positioning and boldness"
Tell me you've never played CSGO higher than silver without telling me you've never played CS at a higher level than silver

just like IRL gunfighting, your aim doesn't mean shit if you're in a bad position. Gl!

  10. Haaa, I knew this. Just wait a week or two. You gonna love it. And also hate it. And also also you'll loose interest in any other shooter and that's the tough part, tho..

I love Ready or Not. I'm also very proud of World War 3. I enjoy Thunder Tier One. Can't live without Sandstorm. Breakpoint, Zero Hour, Ground Branch, Hell Let Loose, Arma, Squad – you can name it and I love them all but there is just nothing like Tarkov.

  11. As a dedicated Tarkov player with an obscene amount of hours – positioning is the key to survival. Using terrain as cover and concealment, covering lanes you dont have visual on with physical objects, and being constantly aware of where you might get attacked from. With that said, I still die a lot and you can't escape it all.

  12. An open mindset is all you need to enjoy this game. There are thousands of people playing this, not everyone is a full time streamer or a "no lifer" who can put in 16h per day, the whole argument that you cannot play this game because some people level quicker and will have better gear completely fades once you realize that's only a tiny percentage of the playerbase.
And just generally why get upset over people who put in more hours performing better? I didn't talk myself into not learning how to ride a bike just because there are people doing the tour de france.

While I agree that not everything about Tarkov is perfect (tbh never seen a perfect game) it's much more about expectations. People these days expect to be great in first person shooters because games like CoD give a lot of instant reward. If you can let go of all the bias people spread about this game and how it's dominated by people who have a ton of time to play (literally true for any other game) you will have fun with it.
It can be fun having to learn something again, just remember to question yourself all the time like you did where you came to the conclusion to play more positional.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter if my enemy was level 60 if he didn't know where I was at and I choose the right situation to place a headshot. This game can be tactical, in my opinion people play it more tactical because of the loss of gear compared to shooters where you respawn. All about expectations, approach this game with an open mind and be happy to learn about all the systems and it might become one of your fav games!

  13. Semi-auto double tap is the way, every time you open up with full auto at a target 20+ meters away, you're mag dumping in to thin air.
It's fine in CQB but not what you want mid range.

  14. This recoil is also frustrating for me also but it gets better as you play. Especially when you can build weapons with the crafting station and flea market that's unlocked at level 15. You can practice shooting scavs in offline raids too. Also get to know your maps. You gotta play for the long haul.

  16. you dropped your mag cuz you need to leave space in your tactical rig. if you dont have extra space, your player will drop the used mag on the floor

  17. Hey Tacti first of all love the vids. Second, @5:40 when you had to retrieve your mag off the ground. You may have double clicked R when reload (its a stressful time to reload) or your tac rig could have been full. I went back @5:16 and noticed that you only have one slot open for one mag. That slot was for the mag you put into your MP5. You would think your PMC would put the empty mag in that slot but you need a separate open slot so our PMC wont just drop his mag. This keep happening to me with AK55 mags. I hope I made sense. One love<3

  18. Focusing on tasks is the best way to level up and getting higher level traders.
If you ever need money, then Woods should be the go-to map for beginners, many valuable spawns in the abandoned village and it's easier to survive compared to other maps.

  19. man I dont get why I still get Tarkov in my feed. I play squad, GB, RoN, Arma 3 and I still push not interested, dont recommend channels etc when Tarkov pop up and YT is still ike fk you man. Here is another ETF video.

I played few rounds of tarkov got HS in 1ms in each round and uninstalled. I am not intrested in esports class retard show. I am farily decent and competitve, but tarkov players thats another breed of player type. They see you in pitch black dark, in the grass and always one shot in head no matter what you do. Its the stupidest game I have ever played.

  20. look if your thorax ever gets injured if you have 5 seconds spare heal it and then push to check if there is more, if it is full hp you may tank 1 more hit and win the fight or have time to reposition and heal up once more, also i recommend turning headbobbing off it annoys me alot idk bout you
