The four horsemen of fear in courage
King Ramses
Harvest moon
The "you're not perfect" guy
And KATZ
Edit: no but like really King Ramses scared the absolute crap out of 5 year old me
One time in class we went around the room naming our favorite childhood shows, and when I said mine was courage the cowardly dog, the entire room went silent
Creepiest things from courage the cowardly dog for me:
1. Return the slab
2. Floating white head
3. It's a gerbil's world, it's doc gerbil's world
The moon harvest episode was the scariest
Not ganna lie, this episode of courage definitely was a nightmare in my dreams as a kid. I dont know why, it's a simple 2d image and dumb but it did…
I was a kid who was raised on the internet without any parental permission. I'll say that the first time I felt fear I was about 3 year's old and saw a guy on a website getting his head cvt off and heart pulled out.
Return the slab
For years I thought I was the only one who got haunted by this man. My mom brings it up every time about how scared I got when it came on. I can die at peace knowing much others was haunted as well
weremole scared me the most
My little brother is one of those kids “raised” by internet. He’s 7. Guess what i saw on his iPad last night? Demon Slayer and Mandela Catalogue.
I never was scared of this episode actually in my family and friend group it’s a running gag because of the theme song he had we would run around singing the theme laughing and shit
Tbh i always thought the barber was creepier
Fun fact! Ringo Starr from The Beatles worked on the show.
I owned this episode on VHS and it scared the shit out of my every time I watched it
King Ramses was bad, but that your not perfect thing was way way way fucking worse. Holy fuck was that thing scarring
For me, freaky Fred was my nightmare. That dude was straight up unsettling to watch and listen to as a kid. And kinda still is
What’s more vivid in my memory surrounding Courage is the intense stress and anxiety I felt around Eustace NEVER listening to Courage and never backing away from all the creepy mfers. It’s the same feeling I would get whenever I overheard there was a tornado warning in our area and my dad would stand outside watching the sky. 😬
I was one of those kids
You I'm actually surprised at the realization of kids these days see stuff like gore or snuff so early and there's really nothing that can be done about it
It's ture. I remember cause I had the movie copy of Scooby Doo The & Alien Invaders. As a "bonus"🙄 to owning it on tape, this episode was included on the tape. It unfortunately played before the movie, and I had to bare witness every time I wanted to watch Scooby Doo unmask some alien.. which looking back wasn't worth. Alien Invaders was weak next to bangers like Witch's Ghost, Cyber Chase, and Zombie Island😂
This episode never really scared me. The episode that scared me the most was the episode that the windmill stopped turning. And those 4 undead vandals came out of nowhere.
If it wasn’t for the fact the show centers around a goddamn dog, I probably never would have watched it. And with everything going on in this show and how terrifying it is at some moments, I still somehow managed to continue watch it even when I was scared after the episode.
my god. so glad many others went thru this shit and wasnt alone xd
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE. My brother and sister made fun of me but dude this episode was the worst one out of all of them. For some reason it just made me so scared. I couldn’t look at the tv and when he’d be all like “returnNNnn thE sTonEe” then Eustices dumbass going “whAts yOur oFfEr?” And he’d just send like a swarm of flies or do some really fuck shit I blocked out from my memory.
It actually makes me feel good knowing I wasn’t the only one absolutely mortified by what I saw as a child
Charlie was probably like "gotta go piss brb" and made this video right after the episode
Once again Charlie coming in with a viral meme about 3 years late. Great job keeping up.
I was soo traumatized by king Ramses and the giant floating bald head guy ep
Im so happy im not the only one lolol
This was my favorite episode of courage when I was a kid. I would hope every time it aired it would be this ep
I’m thoroughly impressed people still talk about this show. This cartoon was one of the greatest cartoons ever made. Really good show. Anyway, I just can’t get over the fact at how scared people were of it. I remember watching it with my cousins and being kinda weirded out. Courage The Cowardly dog had really creepy CGI!!! CGI in this show was fucking eerie. I personally believe the most gut wrenching moment of this show when Courage has that nightmare of the CGI fetus telling Courage that “he’s not perfect” fucking gawd, that shit was crazy, bizarre, and awful lol.
2:55 yep ive seen 50 of those in 2 days
Is this about stranger things?
Courage the cowardly dog was my first guess. It was creepy no doubt, a lot of stuff our age was.
Courage had a myriad of terrifying entities and that was only closely emulated by Flapjack
return the slab
I have said in cartoon network conversations to this day that this episode shook me to the core with fear as a young child and has haunted my nightmares even 20 later.
