  1. I like the idea about going to the library to learn stuff. Would be cool if more survival games did something like this. Maybe searching libraries or the internet for information, which could open up so you can spend time practicing/upgrading a skill when you have some free time between looting. Maybe having different tiers of information, so you first have to learn and practice the basics before you can go on to more advanced stuff – or allowing you to practice more advanced stuff at the cost of having to spend more time practicing because you dont have the basic skills and experience that makes it easier to learn the more advanced stuff. Most games have a similar system for skill progression as we had in the old Diablo games (gain XP to level up, and choose a skill), so i feel like its a little dated and oversimplified, and not very good for immersion.

  2. Holy crap. This is awesome! I mean, have you tried Cepheus Protocol? That was also detailed and cool, but probably less survival and more containment. Anyway, can't wait to see more out of this series. But Kage, give your squad rest and use your collectors more. Also, there's no way ammo is useless.

    I remember, first time i watch you video when you played "night of the dead" zombie survival game , who's still doesn't support multiplayer / online co-op (single player only) and only has one female character.

  4. Game gives me heavy mobile gaming vibes, reminds me of State of Survival… nifty looking game, but definitely not my type of game. But I watch for your commentary, Kage, so I’ll keep giving it a watch.

  5. They should have sent this to RTS players instead of survival game players honestly. It hasn't had a very good showing with people who have bad RTS skills which this game requires the basics be mastered on.

    1. Check your options and make sure any and all options are tested especially HUD options you want on.
    2. Check your HUD and double check your HUD before playing to make sure everything is where it needs to be.
    3. Check your control options and make sure you hotkey everything. Test your game if need be to see if you like your chosen layout.
    4. Don't build units you aren't using. Make sure they are used 99% of the time or do not build them.
    5. Any kind of production needs to not be idle. That's as wasteful as building units you aren't using.
    6. Master the units you are given. We know squads can hold four items. But what if they enter a house while full? Do items get left behind to be picked up later? Can you trade out items and prioritize? This basic mastery of your units is CRUCIAL.
    7. Take in the lay of the land and make sure you funnel your enemies. I've seen five different people play this and they put farms way out and put no protection near them.
    8. Pay attention. RTS games are won and lost by how much attention you pay to what is happening. This includes sound bytes to let you know when certain tasks are complete. Devs should be asked to place visual stimulus as well for this since some people may be deaf but not blind.
    9. PAY ATTENTION! Seriously don't be that guy I roll over in 2 minutes in AoE2. You should last longer then the loading screen!

  6. Not to be a noob giving a pro feedback but seriously if you would simply return your squad holding all the food people would be able to eat not to mention squads need to be sent to hq to deliver the goods they find that's the food your squad is holding as well as weapons and ammo.

    Also not 100% sure but I think you need your squads to go to hq to reload too otherwise your going to run out of ammo.
    Ammo does exist it's not just a decorative icon.
    Squads heal at hq too I think.

  7. One of the ideas I love about this game that I can't wait for is, you can type in any map location and it will download the map location so you can, if I'm correct on this, even play a game in your home town.

  8. Sorry Kage…..but you miss so much about game's……almost seems like you haven't played pc games before…….red bars on people usually mean 1 of a few thing's…..1 their hurt….2 their tired….
