  1. This is a fair assessment. I played in the closed beta and had a blast. I played in the pre-launch beta and enjoyed that, also. I have all four classes to level 30 (the first to do so, according to Steam) and have finished all of their class penances, along with the damnation frame (i.e., complete all of the damnation mission types), and completed all 36 Steam achievements. At this point, I've "won" the game and run out of things to do besides camp the offline armory exchange for level 380 modifier weapons.

    I was a huge fan of VT2, 3100+ hours over ~4 years.

    I don't feel cheated by the lack of content – I got my $40-worth across some 400 hours of play. Many people are complaining about the state of the game, but I don't have these complaints: I went into this with my eyes wide open. I knew what I was getting into (a half-finished game, short on content), and I was ok with that. If given a choice between playing a half-finished game now and waiting for another 6-9 months, I chose to play the game now.

    The good news is that it can only get better from here!
