  1. We want this to be the greatest documentary we've put out to date and we know that we can depend on all of you to bring the memory of D-Day to life like never before. To everyone who has made a channel and project this massive an undertaking possible, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. https://dday.timeghost.tv/

  2. Are you sure you aren’t being Swedish about this (needlessly overcomplicating things that has an easy solution)?

I don't see the problem with posting 24 1 hour D-day videos on this channel. It would make more sense from a viewer perspective to keep all World War 2 related videos on one World War 2 channel instead of spreading it out on multiple channels.

    Keep up the good work!

  3. Your sponsors are correct. You took waaay to long to tell us what we viewed for: what generals thought D Day would fail this video should have Ben no longer than minute and a half at most.

  5. Amazing work on this video! What most people don’t understand in retrospect is that D-Day MIGHT have failed if the Western Allied had done some things wrong and the Nazis has done some things right, instead of what actually happened. Nothing like this operation had ever been tried, not in that scale and scenario, and uncertainty about the results was huge. And indeed there would be no chance of sucyif the bulk of Wehrmacht was not bogged in the Eastern Front, fighting for its life against an ever stronger enemy. Errors and mistakes killed many Allied military in Normandy, but it might have been far worse, to the point of an all-our failure and retreat. Thanks God a long preparation and the experience of North Africa and Italy landings helped a lot to improve what was whatsoever a very risky plan of assaulting the Atlantic Wall head on.

  6. They already had the Germans on the run in Italy and could have pushed into Germany then, but everyone was playing politics too much. So did all those Americans, Brits, Canadians and Poles die there for nothing?

  7. Patton was correct, the original planning for D-Day was a disaster waiting to happen which was why Montgomery was brought from Italy to be the Allied Ground Force Commander. He enlarged the plan and placed his more experienced British and Canadian troops on the Eastern flank, were the Germans would counter attack. Leaving the Americans to advance along the coast to Cherbourg.

  8. Despite the fact that my family was affected by the events of the eastern front, and already being a patreon myself I donated another 50 euros for the project as I do believe in your work to preserve the memory of the fallen to end the worst conflict in humanity's history
