Today they New World team announced that they listened to our feedback about the gypsum system and expertise changes coming to new World this month, and early 2022. They’ve decided to not be so harsh about nerfing peoples existing gear. The changes they made aren’t perfect, but they’re still absolutely amazing.
As always, not everybody will be happy, but to me, and to many in my New World community, these changes are good enough to be satisfied. It’s so amazing that they actually listened to us and did the right thing. The changes before were insane, and now it actually makes sense in a way that includes all members of the community.
I hope you guys are all as happy and excited about these changes as I am. I know not everyone will be happy, but I hope that the majority of us can be satisfied with the gypsum and expertise system now. I personally am very satisfied now.

Idk about the 35 bumps thing. That's effectively 285 bumps for all slots. If they are nerfing how often you get a bump that will really suck, depending how much of a bump up you get from this new gyp system

most of the top GS stuff from the faction shop is only 525. So unless they improve the offerings, the change to allow faction shop items to count will be pretty useless. Plus the stuff is way over priced for what it is.

This sounds way better. Great move to be humble and concentrate on keep existing player base. So glad they listened! Whole reason i got this game is because you find something you like and work hard at it, and it payed off.

Sounds good! The only thing I would say is I STILL wish the gear that you get that is good gear drops but not exactly what need to advance were worth something to you more than repair parts. Maybe some item to raise the gear score of a piece of gear to match your expertise level or something a long those lines.

Any way that you look at this, the early adopters get screwed because this game shouldn't have been released for at least a year. I'm glad some people are liking this. Maybe they will keep some of the servers full on merge.

They forgot about the market, what use does it have to grind for money and buy a 590 / 600 item if its going to get nerfed to 540 because your expertise is 510…? That's a big fumble…

Please make it so if I have a buddy who for 200 engineering he can make me a legendary bow and it not be BOP… what’s the point of having certain people in companies grind certain jobs if you lock this kind of stuff

I am not impressed at all, the right choice for me would be to completely remove the Watermark / Expertise / Gypsum system, also chests and mobs should not drop equipment but only the materials useful to produce a higher quality equipment. Players should either create their own equipment or purchase equipment produced by other players on the market
So do you have to craft the gear yourself or can you have someone else craft it for you?

These are great changes. Armorer is the supreme tradeskill now.
6:20 this is a good change But as you all know that every system in this game working as intended 100% so i hope it will not buged out.
7:00 it should be that way from the start. we can genarate so little money from mob like 10-12? if we are lucky and don't even count on quest this game have the worst money reward quest i seen so far. plus player base still continue droping = money circulation in the market is droping if they add another system to drain money out of the system it will not make any sense.
10:30 just listen to you talking about more grinding make me lose what is desire to play new world that left in me. even if you make a friend in this game constantly grinding and even with level 60 character you still have a problem to pay rent and basic stuff is a pain in the ass ( thx fk they lower renting price)

I did the work to grind my watermarks to 600 so I am against these changes.
I like how you are like as long as it doesnt screw me its all good. Screw the new players I dont care as long as its not me.
Guess i gotta hire crafters asap to make accessories i'll maybe use on the future then just to be safe, since i'll probably never get that accessories slot wm up, anyways good shit.
