  1. How much was the budget for H2A? Goddamn! The Halo TV Series was around $90-$200 million, making this into a full 10 episode long season would be around $541 million. I say its worth the extra cash. With a couple of changes, this would be perfect.

  2. Why, just why Paramount's "Halo" show wasn't like this? Any of these Halo 2 game cutscenes is infinitely better than the entire show in any and every aspect!

  3. Give me a break lmao, these cutscenes don't cost 1 million$ per minute. That's actually hilarious. The entirety of all these cutscenes was probably done for around $2-5 million. You have no idea how much it costs to hire these animators, artists and designers. A freaking episode of game of thrones doesn't even come close to the total budget you have in your video xD

  4. While I do still think it is ridiculous, you've gotta think of all the moving pieces in a movie or cutscene of this quality. There are writers, editors, dialog, voice actors, composers, musicians, audio engineers, travel expenses, motion capture, set assistants, hardware for motion capture/editing/audio/video, directors, plus the immense amount of time it takes to go through each second of the video to fix errors and add detail (and that probably takes multiple people), plus probably dozens of other things I haven't mentioned.

You could make the argument that not all of that is necessary but I don't know anything about cinematography or editing.

  5. Source? You can’t just make a claim that these cutscenes cost a million a min and not cite a source or quote or something. I can believe that remastering these cutscenes was an expensive endeavor but 1 million a min? Come on

  6. Idk why they ever thought the cutscene between locke and the arbiter was a good idea, lol. Yeah for the time it was a marketing strategy for Halo 5 but after the game dropped it literally serves no other purpose.

  7. Every time i see these cutscenes, i remember what a Halo movie or the Halo tv show COULD have been. And god damn do i wish it would have been like this. Expensive, but certainly not impossible with their budget. Besides that, they put far more time and money into the game, if they would have given the same love to the show, we would be set. As it stanslds, each episode (roughly 40-60 minutes per episode) costs $10M, bump that up to $40M, cut the episode count in half, stick to the existing Canon and we could have a show like this within the budget. It saddens me that, in an alternate universe, we do have that.

  8. A million a minute means if they can get Hollywood to approve, they would have the budget to do this for a full 2 hour film. Especially seeing that the average Hollywood budget nowadays is in the 100 million range.
