  1. What is truly fascinating about some of these places is how prosperous, secure, and "normal" they once were not so long ago. It's scary how quickly a place can go from 100 to 0 with the actions of a small number of people or a random disaster.

  2. As a Nigerian, I firmly believe North Korea and it’s people live better than most Nigerians if not all well not all the rich filthy class is still there. I saw a video earlier today of Sam chui on north Korea and I thought to myself this is far better than Lagos

  3. What amazes me is how, despite the grinding poverty and violence of a place, people seem to just get on with life, falling in love, raising families and engaging in recreational activities like everyone else. It is a testament to how tough humans can be I guess.

  4. Could you imagine what might be possible is the world's billionaire's wete forced to donate even a tenth of their wealth to solve these problems? Because that's what these people all need. Honestly, put women in charge and fund them. Job done

  5. I marvel about Caracas. Once prosperous, it had the country's oil wealth to keep it at a comfortable standard of living. Now no one can afford basic necessities, and Maduro still clings to power. He's just pure evil.

  6. So the question is this: Why do people that live in these cities insist you adding to the problem by having children. Why would you ever want to bring up a child in any of these cities.
