Your doing great Stick, enjoying following your journey. Love the long videos, I watch every morning when having my breakfast. Happy Trails😃🇬🇧
Hi Stick! Have been following your hike from New Hampshire…Love your positive attitude…Thanks for sharing your days with us 🙂
Every once in awhile you'll find an electrical outlet box attached to a shelter or a tree, and at first notice you'll be like "what?" Same with the privy plunger. Jokesters hike too!
Good Morning Stick.
Sounds like you have good plans. I think that after your stay at the hostel you'll be better rested and youll be missing the hike and ready to make those miles. Sometimes you need a mental break from doing anything continuously. After all you cant miss something if your never away from it.
You're doing great, keep the positive attitude. Could you imagine what it was like walking the wagon trail back in the day?
You had me for a second there talking about going home, good one, lol.
Take care man
Been following you for a bit and love your perspective! Keep up the good work and the awesome attitude! I'm only a section hiker and have completed over 1300 miles of the Appalachian Trail myself. But I love following through hikers like yourself!
You're doing great. Looked like a nice place to camp. Hope the weather isn't too bad the next few days. Safe travels.
Gee, those people with small raccoon like behinds lack the launching power for the steep mountains.
Great job.
Ditch the intro…
Just keep telling yourself it isn't how far you have to go, it is how far you have come.
It’s never actually flat on the AT, haha! I’d say you’re doing great on your hike, for sure! I think the AT was designed to maximize views, so that’s why it goes up just to go back down again. There might be a decent view at the top!
Just wondering if you have thought of listening to “A WALK IN THE WOOD” by Bill Bryson since it’s about the AT. The movie was hysterical. Smart decision to not continue to push so hard since they can wear you down quickly.
Enjoy your journey and CARPE DIEM.
Singing is good 😊
“I’m going home.” Nice April Fools joke, buddy. Don’t do that to me, man !! I’ve had one heart attack in my lifetime. I really don’t care to have another. 😆
Burkes, Weary and Woods are all amazing hostels! So glad to hear you are checking them out! Your doing amazing! Keep the light shining!
Something that I used on trail was a difficulty scale that I found…. The formula is the square root of (distance traveled in miles X elevation gain and loss X 2). I usually try to keep my days in the 250 – 300 range because not all miles are created equally. I’m sure you would be at a much higher level.
Just food for thought if you want to try it.
You know who made the stars in the sky.😮
You are doing great. You're tired because you hiked to long the day before. 👍🏻
Word to the wise: You Never, Ever Leave Your Rucksack Outside in the Vestibule!! Never!! I Learned that while on the Army. You’ll regret it one day I promise. Hikers always think they know everything. I’m just telling you that leaving your Rucksack outside your tent is a No-No!! Always keep your Rucksack inside your tent with you and you’ll never have your Rucksack get wet, never have critters mess with your bag, bears can’t get to it, plus snakes. Also, keep your hiking shoes inside your tent with you. If your shoes are inside it’s just like your Rucksack. You’ll never have to worry about spiders, snakes, mice getting into your shoes. Plus, raccoons, possums, and squirrels have been known to take your shoes out from under your vestibule while on trail. If you don’t believe me, just watch other videos of people that have hiked any thru-hike and you’ll see that it’s a problem. You might not have had anything happen to you as of yet, but I promise the further North you get and Summer coming on you need to take this into consideration. Just some helpful tips that will help you along the way. But as always, you do you!
Was just passing on my knowledge of hiking and tenting in the woods over years in the U.S. Army. They taught us well and if it works for us then I promise it will work for you.
Happy Trails and God Bless!!
No Bryan!! That butterfly was a good thing! He wasn’t disturbed, he was guiding you Northbound!!!
Stick thanks for sharing your journey atb Steve UK
Stick, I don’t think anyone is enjoying the trail and has the positive attitude that you do of all the people I’m watching. You are an inspiration! You’re a joy to watch. Thanks for sharing your journey! Happy Trails! 🤗
My husband & I look forward to your videos and glad we get to share in the journey.
You need to hike your own hike, have goals but be flexible. If you don't do 29 Mike's as planned, that's ok. Love your attitude. Keep hiking forward.
Also enjoying the back & forth with Master Splinter- I Suck at Hiking.
Oh, the ups and downs of a trail… symbolic of how life can be… Happy Trails! 🥾🎒🗻🌲🐻🦌🫎💚🥾
Blueberry muffin pro bars are LEGIT.
Great examples of the rider and elephant!
Very few hikers showcase the mental roller coaster that happens all day, every day. Thanks for being both authentic and vulnerable. 🤘🕓
I just skip to hiking video…too much intro
