Ana woke up to find her daughter turned into a walker and her husband bitten. She then fled in her car, but was involved in a car accident. When she wakes up, she meets a policeman-Kenneth and several survivors. Together they take refuge in a Wal-Mart supermarket. But it wasn’t a permanent refuge. One day while rescuing the owner of the gun store across the street, they accidentally lured walkers into the shopping center. How will they survive?

I think this is a great zombie movie. Only problem is that it was called "dawn of the dead" and it was inevitably compared to the 1978 original. If you forget the name and it's lineage for a moment and judge the film on it's own merits, its a great zombie flick. If you try to compare it to the original, it's not a good remake. You may agree or disagree, but that's my take on it.

Im Grunde genommen ist das seit dem ersten Romero Film der einzigste wirklich gute Zombiefilm. Aber nicht weil mir die Handlung oder die Geschichte gefallen weil da gibt es in der filmindustrie weit bessere Geschichten und und Stories über Zombies.
Weil die Geschichte zeigt wenn es mal zu einer Katastrophe kommen sollte wie die Menschen dann wirklich so dumm um ihr eigenes Überleben zu verhindern. Und mag die Geschichte auch nur eine Geschichte sein es ist trotzdem die traurige Wahrheit über uns Menschen.
Die rote blonde ist später in Cloud nine als Schauspielerin zu sehen und ehrlich ich habe sie nicht wiedererkannt.
Da hätte eigentlich eine gute Serie draus werfen können.hätte man nur ein paar Schauspieler überleben lassen
Ich meine die Idee mit dem Schiff ist nicht schlecht aber auch nur bei guter Wartung und wenn wirklich jemand Ahnung hat von Segeln und Technik. Ich verrate das Ende hier nicht ,aber ja ….. Am Ende des Films hat der schreiberling zu viel Pilze geraucht weil es ist absolut misslungen. Und doch gefällt mir das Ende eigentlich am besten zeigt doch ganz genau was die Gründe sind warum sich alle Zivilisation nach 2000 Jahren wieder sich selbst zerstören.
Fun fact: The voices of the zombies in this movie were the same ones used in seasons, one and two of The Walking Dead.
