Just sounds like you complaining about everything.
We just got back from Disney and did 8 days at AoA cars suite which was nice for the extra room. But to me it honestly doesn’t matter how nice the room is if you don’t have regular mouse keeping. I know there is a shortage of workers which I completely understand but then the price should be adjusted to reflect that. I am just so over paying more to get less.
I can't even listen to these reviews anymore. It's like pretending there is no elephant in the (resort) room; which is the outrageous cost of a typical family of four being able to afford a trip to Disney these days.
Little mermaid for sure . I stay at all stars all the time so I thought little mermaid would be like that NOPe omg it’s like sleeping in apartments with all ur windows open these rooms u can hear evereything . And I mean everything.
The family suite at all star music was worth dealing with everything else at that resort. Seriously. Having a private bedroom, 2nd barroom, and real fridge was amazing.
This is insane spending for artificial entertainment. Why not the rockies, our oceans, yellowstone park, our capital or great lakes? Jeez!!!

I've never been to Disney, but if I ever go, I've always wanted to stay at the Contemporary hotel because I want to be surrounded by the 60's / 70's vision of retro luxury.
Theming it as anything other than that would ruin the experience for me.
I'd like to see some off-property reviews. For the prices you're talking about, you can stay at the Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria, or a Loews in Orlando.
You mean they have some that don't cost four figures a night? You gotta wonder how long that will last.
My family and I stayed at the Caribbean Beach and the Port Orleans resort and neither had guest elevators and were ridiculously expensive. We spent a lot of time waiting for and riding those busses. The lower tier value resorts looked so downright ghetto we felt pressured into staying at the moderate resorts for a lot more $$.
i loved the wilderness lodge, was good value and there was a ferry which came on time.
my biggest complaint was the bus drive who picked us up from the airport sounded bitter
In a 24 hour day exactly how much time are your eyes open in any hotel room. Paying what Disney wants nightly is not for any average family anymore. If you want to be on campus stay at the value hotels. Can eat morning noon and night. Pools. Sleep the few hours you are there. Enjoy the parks. Isn’t that you go. Susie
Recently stayed at the yatch club for our honeymoon. I've stayed at Disney resorts thousands of times. Did you know disney has a new policy that if you are in you room and refuse housekeeping in the moment they have a right to show up and do a "safety check"? Like it was forced. It was our first day there and we were honeymooning. It was 4pm and we were showering to go out to disney springs. It was super embarrassing and made me feel like a criminal for not wanting housekeeping.
How about a hotel that forbids kids?
I’m sorry, but nothing about that studio suite at the Rivera looked comfortable! I wouldn’t have a romantic getaway in that match box, less lone feel like I was treating myself. You could definitely find a better/spacious studio apartment off property or like you said – pay that same price at a Disney resort that gives you a full room/bathroom. This was made for someone who wants to desperately tell others they’ve stayed at Disney’s Rivera Resort.

My friend group and I actually found an apartment area nearby the park that rented out certain apartment units as like a better hotel (so like an air bnb basically). 5 beds, fully functional kitchen, and only a 20 minute drive to any of the parks, all for a total of only $500 for the entire time we stayed there. Windsor Hills Resort, they also have houses for rent if you don't want an apartment, very nice place all around
I couldn't watch a bunch of people walking around wearing monster masks for absolutely no reason.
I stayed at All Star Music and never had an issue with the busses. Just plan a little extra time. The problem we had was the bus picking people up at Downtown Disney going back to the hotels. People stormed the bus and nearly trampled the driver.
Because of all the park pass stuff rather than spend most of our days in the parks we decided to splurge on a poly bungalow and just have mostly a lazy vacation (with only 2 park days instead of almost every day of our trip like usual). We loved it more than our normal dvc stays.
And this is why I stay off property at my timeshare
Contemporary should have stuck with the 70s vibe. Would work so much better as a high end retro sort of classic Disney hotel.
Contemporary should go with a whole Art Deco theme

Can you do a video about the partner hotels in buena vista and disney springs? We are staying at Embassy Suites maybe Drury Inn next stay. I did ask about transpo and they do have shuttles, free breakfast etc.
Made the mistake of staying at the Caribbean Beach first time I went to Disney, and made every mistake you mentioned. 2nd floor room was insane with 2 pieces of heavy luggage. The bus loop took AT LEAST 30 minutes before we were able to get out of the resort. We were so far away from the reception that we never even saw what the resort has. And considering how much we spent, the room was horrible, old, run down, and tiny. I don't understand why this 'resort' exists, and especially why it's considered a moderate: it's trash.
Next time went to Art of Animation and it was hands down better in every way.
I've been watching all your videos and love them all, this will be my wife and I first visit to Disney world and trying to get all 411 help we can get. My wife and I been going to Disneyland for many over 25 yrs straight and we always stayed at good neighbors hotels and from what I'm seeing it's about the same when staying at a resort hotel your paying for Disney convenient's of getting back and forth to hotels and parks, but from what I see in a lot of your videos there are some hotels that jus don't have have that and they're very pricey. My wife and I are in our mid 50's and would love to stay at a moderate hotel but looking at there rooms look so tiny when I know there are good neighbor hotels that have much nicer rooms at half if the cost, can you recommend a good neighbor hotels with transportation back and forth from parks, and one we don't have to do so much walking, we know when you visit the parks you walk a lot but less the better. Also can you answer if staying at a Disney resort hotel do you get discounts on park tickets or is the price the same staying at a good neighbor hotels. I know it's a lot to ask for but being it's our first visit we want it to be magical, thank you.
This place (disney) is like the lifestyles of the rich
and famous. Walt must be rolling in his grave seeing what corporate has done to his dream. So sad. Was there last in the 90"s and i understand prices need to go up but Disney find options for people that want to take there kids on a "magic" trip and make it accessable to more people.

Having just stayed at the Coronado, yes it is spaced out but we figured out early on to just walk from Casitas to the last bus stop near the Mercado area. We took the stop next to our Casita and then stopped like 5x lol.
The line at the end of the day for a monorail is long AF. You’re staying at a fancy hotel but you are with at least half the off park guests in line for a monorail.
Bungalows might be the worst value, convenience, and experience of any hotel room. The draw of an overwater bungalow is diving into the water. You can’t recreate that here unless you made some huge long pool dockside.
I stay at all star sports for run Disney events…. I pay $115 usually a night… you can't beat that 😃

Caribbean beach's stairs are also very slick, my shoe slipped off the stair and I fell down them with luggage, at least it was the last day of the trip lol
When we stayed at PopCentury in 2014 with one child we looked longingly at the Art of Animation Resort. So in 2021 we stayed with 2 adults and 3 kids in the Little Mermaid room at AOA. I guess we should have stayed at PopCentury with their murphy beds instead, because my kids were so ready to leave and go to the AirBnB after that! The theming for the Little Mermaid room was fun and the hotel's theming was great, but the reduced food options (COVID reasons) were kinda awful and the Little Mermaid rooms are really far away from everything.
I actually wish the theming at the Contemporary was more over the top.

I don’t know about the tower rooms at the contemporary, but the garden rooms are massive. Not only do you get the contemporary feel, but you get a theme. Could the them have been better…sure. But the theming is less loud and in your face compared to the really cheap resorts, like pop animation, etc.
My husband and I used to stay at the Contemporary Hotel (back when if you were an annual pass holder you could actually get a room for under $100 a night). It was kind of classy and minimalistic at first, but then in the 90s they did this makeover and all the rooms suddenly looked like every color of paint they had leftover from some other remake was used to make the rooms more colorful. The bedspreads were equally too much, so the first think I did was turn the bedspreads over so the plain beige underside was the side showing – at least it I didn't feel like I was sleeping in a room with all the Christmas lights in the world on at all times. (I actually had one of the staff who didn't work in the rooms say "Oh, you're the lady who turned the bedspreads over!" I was notorious. Apparently there were a lot of people on the staff who weren't in love with the flashy remake either.)
We actually chose to buy DVC at Saratoga Springs because it doesn’t look like a hotel room. It gives us a chance to unwind and not be totally immersed in Disney all day long. I told my husband I wanted it because it just looked like an apartment or townhouse and the idea of “Welcome home” is for me to feel like I’m at my FL “home”. I guess we all choose what works for us.
As someone who really likes the Incredibles, I find the Contemporary resort rooms really underwhelming and tacky. I feel like the Incredibles could be used for a very aesthetically pleasing room theme, but the actual graphics and prints they choose for this just look incredibly cheap and boring
Our home away from Disney last year was a La'Quinta or something like that, LOL.
Although we did also go to Universal so we couldn't REALLY just do a Disney hotel. And then, we could only go to EPCOT due to the reservation deal mentioned in another vid.
I'd love to see one of those Star Wars hotels, though.
Traveling alone- the tower studios at Riviera are a great fit. I like staying at deluxe resorts- the tower studio gives me an option that is less than other deluxe resorts.
My go to hotel has always been cbr, honestly transportation isn’t as bad as it might seem. Because there are so many bus stops, that means less people at each one. Also take the busses to get to the sky liner stations quicker. Walks really aren’t that bad
