Belle Glade, aka, The Muck, is a city in Florida south of Lake Okeechobee. Since the towns origins, thousands of migrant workers have flocked to Belle Glade during the season. Pay for these migrant workers has never been much of anything. In the modern days, the city has always had a negative reputation. In the 1980’s, Belle Glade was named as the AIDS capital of the world. In 2003, Belle Glade had a higher rate of violent crime than any city in America.

YouTuber CharlieBo313 drove through there at night, and people said that Belle Glade looked like the scariest hood they’ve seen in the United States. People think it looks worse than New Orleans, Baltimore, Philly, etc. I’m from Miami, and I’ve never set foot in Belle Glade or Pahokee. It does look similar to places in Jamaica or Trinidad & Tobago. Good video. One can see many Native American names in the cities and regions: Pahokee, Loxahatchee, Okeechobee, Miccosukee, etc.
I see a lot of run down buildings but not a lot of run down people.

Belle Glade is the arm pit of Florida, but Pahokee is the crouch. That said, there are many good people living there, and grow great crops.
