The Working Group Auckland Flooding Special with Greenpeace, Simon Bridges and Damien Grant

Tonight a special on the unprecedented Auckland flooding disaster.

Where was the leadership, what is the impact, how does Auckland recover and how do we face our climate warming future?

We will also look at last nights political polls to see which Government will pick up that climate warming future challenge.

To debate these issues The Auckland Chamber of Commerce CEO, Simon Bridges, Greenpeace spokesperson Amanda Larsson and Stuff Columnist Damien Grant.

  1. Thanks to all who fronted up. Shame Chloe couldn't make it. How/where did Damien get so sunburnt this summer??!! (Bad lighting on pastey white ol' skin? Amanda made the best arguments and came fully informed imo. Bridges bats better out of government politicking, but meh, he's Chamber of Commerce CEO now so still super out of touch with everyone who is not big business. Damien Grant, yeah it's nice to see the positive but you don't seem to be grasping that these events are no longer once in 100 years, while failing to offer potential solutions other than people from Asia are happy to buy houses on flood plains. Forgive me Amanda for not catching your last name. It wasn't a debate, but on the face of, Greenpeace brought the facts. Bomber, you really need to secure more field experts and women to the show, to bring balance. Good show, thank you everyone 🙂

  2. Unless Greenpeace is going to change the way china fuels itself then there is no point cutting anymore here as it's now hurting us…
Target the countries creating the problem, not the ones who have been doing something about it for decades now…
Always about dropping numbers of cows, Never options on our to protect our waterways like planting rows of hemp infront of them as hemp can detox more than they give it credit for…
Why do women like this want to harm us ???
