Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and the wasted potential of this series. CoD Bo4 retrospective in 2023, This video ill cover the wasted potential of Call of Duty Black Ops 4, everything from the cut campaign, the scrapped multiplayer mode, and the zombies maps and gameplay that we never saw. So much of Black Ops 4 was reworked to fit the current build, including the Battle Royale mode Blackout. This Black Ops 4 review will detail why it had the potential to be the best Call of Duty game to date, but why it fell short in the end.

You may have seen my other BO4 retrospective, but I felt inspired to make another one since there’s so much new stuff, plus I’ve really grown as an editor since my last one. Consider this video the one that does BO4 a justice for me

I actually really enjoyed the zombies. Of course I didn’t pay full price but I’d say it’s a really fun experience if you just want a quick silly time.

It sounds something similar to what they did in Titanfall 1. A multiplayer campaign hybrid. It sounds amazing tbh.
Going into it I thought I was gonna hate this game. This game will always hold a special place in my heart. Top 5 CoD for me. 😢
I mean we had the whole thing with blundel and Activision rushing cold war and so on.
This game had awesome movement insane weapon camos and the gun play plus manual heal felt so good. Outplay potential all over the place. But it had to have cheesy operators and weapon alternates that made it fuckin terrible to play overall. Such a good feeling terrible game lol
Idc what anyone says, bo4 fuckin sucks. Everything about it is ass. And Cold War was so much better although far from perfect
Everything just seemed it all was cut short. Mp, zombies, blackout all had great ideas that just needed time.
The fact that there’s so many remastered victis map assets in multiplayer and blackout makes it painfully obvious they were preparing for a chronicles 2

I hate how Treyarch had to do cod 2020… we could’ve had so much stuff in bo4 and they probably would’ve fixed the flaws it had. Blackout could’ve went FTP, MP could be even more better and we could’ve got zombies to full potential… makes me sad
MP fans can say whatever they want but it’s not CoD without a campaign. You may as well just play overwatch or Fortnite
I was fully on board and pretty hyped when I heard about the whole faction stuff coming too the game , was pretty bummed when it didn’t come

For me it's the one and best that got me playing COD. the camos hands down the best. From unicorns, boat and dsrk matter camos that changed. Uff. For me it went downhill. Cold war, vangarbage etc
unpopular opinion but blackout was better than warzone. it was just better in a lot of ways. I would probably still be playing it today if I didn't only have BO4 on PC and it had crossplay like later cods did.

The game would have been so much better without specialists. I think with the addition of a higher ttk, specialists as a base become more frustrating than they did in bo3 because it requires more to kill people that have them. They went further than that and added really obnoxious specialists too. I consider specialists to be a big downfall to the game whereas I was hardly annoyed by them in bo3. The maps didn’t stand out at all either. They weren’t bad, just that it seemed every treyarch game before it was better in terms of maps. Those 2 things really kept it from being top tier for me because I liked the higher health

I believe this game gets shit on too much because it was an ambitious as hell like how bo2 was trying to be during it's time, the difference is the game got screwed over by activision, let's not forget they pulled a majority of the team who worked on the game to work on what now is cold war because sledgehammer games couldn't simple work together and keep their arguments civil I feel like most people forget that. I just wish Black ops 4 had a retry because in my opinion it's so much better then midwar and especially vanguard
