Daryl: "This Beta, is he their best? […] Good. We'll kill him first."
Again, very good episode, we have a new group of people (The Highwaymen, how cool is that name!) who are also trying to survive and of course the fight between Daryl and Beta was very exciting to watch.

Darryl v Beta! Amazing
Iβve been here since your season 1 reactions and have loved them all. Iβve especially really enjoyed how good judges of characters you are and how youβve always tried to understand every single character. Thatβs why it really saddens me how incorrectly you judge one of my absolute favourite characters Magna. Saying sheβs like a psychopath is not understanding her character at all. I would argue sheβs the most emotional one out of those five and you could especially tell that when she saw Bernie and when she wanted to fight for her family to have a safe place. Sheβs a badass and an absolute machine when it comes to fighting yes but sheβs possibly one of the kindest and most selfless characters this show has. That being said I still really enjoy your reactions and hope you come around on Magna in the future and try to see things from her point of view.
Really enjoyed your reaction Rob & Trin, it was great, I was looking forward to it on this one.π
Another of my favourite episodes, glad you're here seeing the "Highwaymen" – I agree, cool name and glad they came to the rescue, love the leader 'Ozzy's deep husky voice and couldn't believe he went all soft over a movie. Look at Tara leading that attack on the road, a confident, natural leader. I laughed when Connie ignored Daryl and insisted they go her way in the woods then 'Dog' followed her, that always cracks me up laughing.π
I remember when I first watched when they were all on the top floor of that building using the "chokepoint" strategy Connie wrote on her notepad, we kept on shouting at the screen at Lydia saying "STOOOP kissing him" (Henry).π Connie is an amazing fighter and amazing with the slingshot. With no hearing she's better than the average person because her other senses are heightened so she relies on those 100 times more than we would. Then seeing 'Dog' attack that Whisperer to save 'Henry' was so brave and typical of the "Belgian Malinois" a highly intelligent very smart and obedient skilled dog. He has strong instintively protective and territorial instincts.
Was scary seeing 'Beta' toss my Daryl around like a ragdoll – how dare he, but Daryl being smaller, quicker and more agile had that advantage and outsmarting 'Beta' is what saved him from that BEAST of a monster and good thing Connie showed him earlier that space below the floor, it really was a game-changer.
Fun fact:
Norman Reedus (who plays 'Daryl') once asked the writers and crew if Daryl could get a dog, but that request was initially denied until Season 9.
Dog not letting go of Daryl's arrow in "Guardians" and breaking it was originally not meant to happen, but Norman Reedus improvised and kept that scene going by adding his line "bad dog".
OMFG DARYL AND CONNIE WOULD BE THE BEST THING RIGHT????
I love Connie & Daryl this episode!
Lydia: why did you come for me?
Rob: because she kissed me and Iβm down bad
ππππ
Beta crashing through a wall to start the fight, keeping Daryl on the ropes and then surviving falling down an elevator shaft. He's definitely not a pushover by any means. Alpha and Beta are both terrifying in their own ways
The place where Daryl and Beta fight is the same hospital Beth died in!!
Idk how the hell ur almost at the final already time flys
I just want to say….πΆβπ«οΈπ€
Ryan Hurst plays Beta perfect.
Donnie is the couple we need to see
Next episode is π₯
Beta looks like he could beat Abraham, Negan and The Governor all at once, the guy is a beast.
Norman Reedus said it was fun to film the fight scene with Ryan but he ended up taking lots of Advils. That was the intensity of the filming π
Norman Reedus said that, after filming this scene, he had to take a couple of Advils.
Daryl vs. Beta was an awesome fight. It gets better each time you watch it.
Connie and Dog kick ass!
Can't wait to see reaction for the next 2 episode.
Thank you
Connie and Darylβs relationship gets stronger from here
I love how much you guys have faith in Darryl. Beta is a beast and for Darryl to take him down is just amazing. Darryl is top tier
Gosh , when did we get this far into the season?! geez. so looking forward to the next few reactions.
Your reactions, your reflections on moments and characters have truly impressed me. You see details and nuances that many don't grasp. Please, after watching The Walking Dead, you absolutely must play the games by TELLTALE on The Walking Dead. They represent an indispensable piece of the puzzle for fans of this saga. It's a narrative story, very cinematic, it will enter your heart and never leave you. The Telltale saga consists of 4 main games + 2 DLCs, one of which is called "Michonne." The Michonne game tells her story that takes place right after the war with the Saviors, when she separates from Rick's group for a while. It provides a fascinating exploration of the character and her story. Beyond everything, I know you're not into video games, but I assure you that this games is like watching a movie, it's very narrative and cinematic. Moreover, the emotions will flow like rivers! You can't miss out on it!
PS. In 2019, Telltale released the entire saga under the name "The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series," which includes all the games and DLCs. If you ever decide to play it, make sure to disable the "Graphic Black" option. It's a special setting they included in the Definitive Series, and it's set to ON by default, but it significantly worsens the visual quality. It's better to turn it off.
Tip: Darrel does not say "No!", he says "Nah!". That's a common word used in the South and Appalachia.
Lydia: "Why'd you come for me? For real this time."
Rob: "Cuz you kissed me and I'm down bad."

I was 100% worried for Daryl in that fight. He's good, but Beta is a BEAST.
Carol is still my #1 female love in this series, and I love the rest, but Connie is the new favorite of mine. Big surprise, because upon introduction, I thought it would be Magna from the new group.
The lead highway man is an Aussie actor, Angus Sampson
Beta is awesome.
I love Ryan Hurst aka Beta and seen many of his films including remember the titans and saving private Ryan, but i would say his most rememberable (other then TWD) was Opie in Sons of anarchy. If any other person was cast i dont think it would have been the same.
The Highwaymen are a Show exclusive. The Boss was Organic in Mad Max Fury Road
In the Comics the Lydia Story is much darker how she got treated by everyone or every Girl for that matter. If you can't defend yourself you're fcked littaraly
Tremendous
Gracious Ignatius, loved this episode! Glad you guys did too.ππ§ββοΈπ§π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈ
