  1. Not a big fan of this video
Dude is just clowning on other dudes who found joy in their lives

Sure 90% of it is harmless cringe, but whats with the slander about the dude who made music at the start?

But overall im not in to that shit
To me it feels just like other fangroups that are into medieval Knight stuff / samurai aesthetic, or the roman empire enjoyers

Also 1 thing that annoys about hasan is how lightly he uses the word nazi.

  2. lol viking was just the profession of being a raider. Not all nordic people were vikings yet people just lump everyone in as if 100% of the population was going out and pillaging left and right. There's a ton of the culture and heritage that are fascinating and worth exploring beyond "lol killed a lot of British people!". Sad there are still groups appropriating Nordic history into their crazy ass Nazi views, when the actual Nords of history were very open minded which you have to be when a huge portion of your economy revolves around trading. These people are just cosplaying and enjoying life, aint nothing wrong with that.

  3. I swear to god, many of these 'tough "viking" dudes' don't realise that they're essentially dressing up as Norwegians, while at the same time disregarding the history and all else. They'd probably say "no, im full on hog, I hate welfare, taxes etc etc" while not realising those people they are larping as, were Norwegians (Swedish, Danish) who would be much more like modern day Norwegians, than whoever these larping Americans think they'd like.

If you're socially and economically left leaning (by world standards, or European) by our standards, NOT American standards which are extremely skewed towards the right, I dont really think you'll encounter that many problems here. But you'll very likely be pretty socially isolated if you're against "everyone gets healthcare coverage automatically, no privat market replacement", against public transport in cities, against our country saving most our wealth for the future, against refugees etc etc.

If I'm completely honest, unless someone has a very left-leaning, European mindset, I don't think they'd be too happy here, as those are the things that are good, so once they're gone you'll just be miserable. So, for larping as vikings, I advise to do it wherever you're from, because it'll be weird here, you'll be treated as a weirdo, and you won't get that "omg, white man knows our culture" reaction here that so many people are looking for, almost a "thank you for this". That won't happen here.

Iguess it'd be more authentic living where "vikings" lived, but like the best tips I can give is just
"It's not worth it, whatever you're imagining will not be your experience, it will be worse than your expectations, by how much depends how delusional you are, everything will be cold and expensive, even for Americans, and you'll likely find that there's probably WAYYY more interest for 'vikings' wherever you're from, as opposed to Norway and Scandinavia!"

  4. hasan is so on point about middle America just being bored as hell. 😂I also had a whole phase of “becoming spiritual.” I think left winger men and liberals go to things like the Dao and Buddhism, while women go to Wicca or Buddhism, and then right wingers all go the pagan route. Like we just so alienated from our labor that we find our opium in religion

  5. 07:55 – Cringed out of my fucking mind, as a Dane. Also, while sorta understandable, would be fun if other aspects of being a viking than the raping and pillaging would be more well-known. The vast, vast majority of vikings were farmers, and even the ones that went of voyages were often tradesmen, soldiers for hire, etc.

  6. I live in Fargo. I fuckin’ jump into the Red River, every morning, from the bucket of a front loader, raised high, like how one hoists a battle axe. My dick’s always, still, at least a foot long. Phorate Chopped.
