The view from an Army LUH-72A Lakota

The LUH-72A Lakota is a US Army variant of the Airbus Eurocopter EC145 helicopter. The Lakota has a digital cockpit and hingeless rotor system.

It is the Army’s only non-combat and commercial-off-the-shelf helicopter used across the force. Lakotas are primarily used by Active Duty for Initial Entry Rotary Wing training at flight school and by the National Guard as MEDEVAC and patrol aircraft. The Army also maintains a fleet of tiger-striped Lakotas that are use as notional enemy aircraft at training centers around the country.

In this video, the flight crew is performing instrument flight above the clouds.
