In October 1991, a group of students, after finishing their exams, decided to celebrate by going out to buy some snack from a convenience store in Chiba prefecture, Japan. What should have been a night of fun however, turned into a night none of them would ever forget.

He probably put that branch there to make them stop cos it wasnāt there on the way to the shop, local man I think to be in that place
Itās the last one, heās North Korean
A murdering kidnapping thug would not likely be the type to break rules at work such as drinking while driving a truck?

I could never blame her friends, but I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that all three of them blamed themselves. It's not just horrible what happened to Nana, but that all of those girls were put into such a position. It could have been any one of them that ended up like that.
If the guy had been Korean, wouldn't he have had a notable accent? I think this was a crime of opportunity. It's possible the guy had been parked somewhere in his vehicle and saw them on their way to the store, and waited for them on their return trip. When the bike accident happened, maybe he got out of his vehicle and began walking towards them.
Thank you for defending the other girls in this case as well.
I can't imagine being that age and thinking you're guilty for your friends disappearance.
I hope Nana is out there, or is at least found in some degree.
Keep up the wonderful videos, your cases are always new to me and I really enjoy listening to them, your editing is great š
So sad for her family and friends. They most likely have long lasting trauma and guilt… Imagine being one of her friends and now, older and wiser, and seeing through the man's manipulation… You are bound to blame yourself even though, as you said, they aren't really to blame. They were kids š
I just discovered your channel my friend, top notch content! This story is really sad, hope Nana is now in Heaven with her grandmother, all the way from Greece i send you my regardsš
if she died, then that would be the exact day and around the same time of my birth. so wild. poor Nana
Lazy informed me of your channel. And I'm so happy he did. I have binged 5 of your vids so far and they are awesome. You are dropping bangersšššš thank you very much great vids.
"…watch my mediocre viedeos"
My brother in Christ, yes the algorithim don't show me earlier and there always room for improvement, but don't say mediocre, you doing the reasearch, translation and the story telling is a lot more them you done before, God give me patient if he gave me stregth i would find and punch you for that one…
"What are you doing" scared the shit out of meš« love your channel!
This video wrecked me for the day. I havenāt been this sad about anyone like this before, but this really hit me hard. The fact that being out in the dark scared her and she was the one the perpetrator hand picked. Also, the fact that she was having a happy bike ride with her friends and out having a fun night. I really hope she is alive still. I know she might not be, but I pray she is ok. Iām just so bummed out.
To me, it sounds like he has a place nearby to take her, because he was so confident in his ability to keep her compliant & even said he'd retrieve her bike. I do think the NK thing has a bit more merit for that reason as well. He might have been scouting the area & saw the golden opportunity for such a young girl and took it. Keeping her in his (or his associate's) home until they arranged transit. He may have also just been visiting an elderly family member whose home he was staying in, saw the opportunity to kidnap her and did just that but took her back to wherever he actually lived once the news got out. I'm assuming they didn't set up any road blocks on roads leading out of town, so he could've just driven out with her in the front seat and then he could have kept her or killed her long after her left.
The truck driver theory being a tired trucker walking around could explain the red eyes as opposed to him being drunk
Iām new to your channel. I love it
dont call yourself rather mediocre, allow yourself to be proud of yourself !! your content is very good!
And what if the whole story was just made up? Did the police check it? What if Nanaās crush with the branch, if it happened, ended more seriously, and the girls were just scared for their future and made up a story? Pure speculation, of course. We know how often witnesses can be inaccurate in their testimony, come up with some things. I mean sure they could see two people, but maybe they werenāt Nana and her abductor. It's just strange that there were no suspects and no one provided any information about similar looking angry short man. And where was her bicycle? If we believe that this was a real abduction, and the kidnapper with Nana were seen by all the witnesses, where was her bicycle? Of course, they could have left it, but wouldn't the police have found it then? Or did any of the witnesses mention that Nana or her abductor had her bike? And if his face was red because of alcohol, the man most likely would have the smell that the girls would have noticed. It's purely a theory, without any evidence. But in my opinion there are too many strange abnormalities
How is this that Japanese women and girls just do as they are told by men?!? How is it that Japanese mothers and Grandmothers do not educate their female children about predators? I would have kicked this guy in the balls at that age!!
Thereās no excuse for this to remain unsolved. The side road the man took led only to a car shop that was closed. Why didnāt police check to see if he worked there or knew someone who did? They just saw it was closed and didnāt even search it.
In addition, the police should have checked employees of the school and parents of students, as they mightāve known that there was no guidance counselor. He might have had a child, himself or been related to someone who did.
His face could have been red due to high blood pressure or even a skin condition such as rosacea.
Did he take her bike? Was it ever found? I doubt he actually took it. They should have searched for it, he probably just hid it off the road, since there was so much debris from typhoon Orchid.
I really hope Japanās statute of limitations on kidnapping is changed. I know the statute of limitations on murder was changed just in the last decade. I hope it retroactively applies to Nana and someone goes back to work this case. Thereās no way he should have gotten away with this.
A man who harms a child should be made to suffer at least as long as her parents, and Nanaās mother still pays rent on a place she canāt live and continues to suffer.
Pretty sure I heard this story before. At the time I wasnt dating my boyfriend⦠Nanaās area is on the way to his house! I will never see it the same! š Also thanks for divulging more on the case than I remember hearing in previous iterations. I think I may be a new fan! šš
New to the channel. Good videos!
Everything must be considered, and the few hints here had to be taken seriously. However, I suspect most of the information wasn't important. This guy could have been doing anything, happened to see an unusual and vulnerable group, came up with an identity on the spot that happened to be irrelevant to the area, and took Nana in a random direction. His story could have also been one of chance and not habit. I do think it was somewhat likely that he did have a truck, or at least was using one at the time. It could have been any type, he may not have been a "truck driver", but perhaps did transport things, possibly only by day. He probably was somewhat local, but it seems possible that he didn't say enough to give away anything unusual. I highly doubt the North Korean theory. It's just too different from the cases I know about. North Korea might even have admitted having her by now. There just isn't enough to be useful here and that's terrible.
I know very well about the Japanese and authority (I just recently fretted over my language while there), but hopefully since this has happened, more young people have an idea of when to not obey. A lot is at stake when one doesn't obey, so it has to be difficult to not. But this was sketch as heck. I wish so much that I could go back and be a fly who whispered to Nana, "get on your bikes and ride. He's on foot, doesn't know you. Go!!" I know very well about how much fear can cloud one's mind. She was probably the most frightened of all, being chosen.
I feel so sad for Nana, and the ones who cared about her most.
š
My theory it's that it was most likely human trafficking
I believe Nana was raped, killed, and her corpse buried in a remote place.
First at all: THANK YOU for your always intersting content! š„³
They should had smashed this creep on the spot with their bicycles! š¤Four against one…mybe they would have a chanceš….at least better than doing nothingš®āšØ…sad story
I am new here but I am enjoying these videos. I am binging them right now.

The North Korea theory actually makes a lot of sense. Either that, or he just fled somewhere else. I mean I'm not one to judge on height, but let's be real a 155cm man is gonna stick out like a sore thumb lmao. There's no way no one would spot him if he hadn't fled somewhere where he can't be found.
He was from North Korea and had a truck the situation was Not planned but met of opportunityShe was not abused but held captive as been Sold as a wife to another
I think it was a north korean kidnapper, due to the fact the man was 'Shorter than average", as N. Korean's diets aren't as nutritious as Japanese diets, especially for adults in that age range from the early 90s. (Its still poor but has supposedly increased with bartering that's overlooked by Kim's enforcers.)
