The Uyghur China You NEVER Knew Existed I S2, EP87

I am in the bustling city of Kashgar, also known as the Uyghur Capital of China in Xinjiang Province. I am exploring the street markets and meet some incredibly nice people that share their culture with me. The Uyghurs look much different than the Han Chinese in the Eastern provinces. To me at some point it feels like being in another country.
In this video I want to show you the Uyghur culture in its lively capital Kashgar.
Join me on this new adventure in Xinjiang Province 📽

  1. I married to an Iranian man and i learnt few words such as polo=rice, sabzi=vegetables ,mahi=fish. I am shocked this Uygur people say polo as rice and sabzi as vegetables too.Not only that, they way they cook/what they add ,including how they treat guests, how they display all the nuts etc. My family in law in Iran also does the same..they have different kinds of nuts, they also put different tyoes of fruits on the table nicely. Uygur and Iranian has culture similarity i guess. They have bloodline..idk but i now interested to know more about Uygur!

  2. Another American here, I’ve travelled all over Southeast Asia, but never made it to China. Your videos take me to the places I’d visit. It’s amazing. Modern technology is such a prize.
    Thank You! ✌️

  3. Hey Yan, thank you for continuing your journey across China to portray the lives of the people you meet. I also highly appreciate the time you take to translate everything and provide subtitles in all of your videos but please pay attention to them. I often see the text being misaligned and the Chinese and English subs on top of each other. With your channel growing bigger and bigger, which is awesome, I hope you can work on this to make your videos even better!
