If humanity actually knew what was going on in this "world" and knew what our existence was REALLY about, there would be mass hysteria and chaos to the likes this world has never seen before. A lot of people have been trapped in this realm and have incarnated back into the EXACT same life thousands upon thousands upon thousands of times because the gods left us and told us were on our own.
A disease like Covid-19 with no medication and no vaccines could easily infiltrate a small city and wipe it out completely. They had the Black Death, the plague, Spanish flu all these pre western medicine diseases that destroyed populations already in written recorded history.
